Not surprised.I must admit a lot of Guys have come to me and told me they doing worlds for the "chance of a lifetime" and when I ask,have you ever done a xco race before,errr NO.1st assumption is its the roadies but its not.It's the hackers who have never done this kind of racing before and didn't bother doing part of their provincial or national races that are crashing.If world masters Track was here is SA and open to all I wouldn't just enter because of that " chance of a lifetime" presuming because I can ride on the road ,I will be ok on the track. That's what's happening here.

Sorry ,last time I did Argus was 2010 and I got the mail today.

This has got me thinking a bit that maybe its just a sneaky way of PPA getting people to renew mwmbership.I havn't done the argus for 2 years,I havn't done 10 argus's and this is the first year I havn't renewed my PPA membership.I also got the VIP mail inviting me to enter the Argus(before 5pm today).It's 5h15 and i've entered. Just thinking what's up?

Oooo the bike shops love this.Riders bring bikes in for new chain,cluster,brake pads and rings just from 1 ride.That ride is going to cost you huge.

Amazing how much attention the Vipa is getting with not much ride time or testing.Sure Nico rode the epic but since then i've only seen him on the HT and the vipa has dissapeared.Rumours around there are problems with the bike.Every opinion is based on should be /would be,and of course it's SA designed so it MUST be good.If it was a blank frame( no names on it)I would first comment on the sloppy cable routing and attatching it to the frame with zippties,really.Second that rear shock,could they not find a cheaper rear shock. And seems pricing is on par with all the big companies who's bikes have at least been around for a few years.I think the concept of little travel 29er is brilliant along with the fact that size small will be 650b. Great ideas but if you going to price in line with tallboy ect etc make sure quality and spec are equal.If the frame comes in 5-10K cheaper than the big boys and with decent rear shock they will have a winner.Until then( including all the guys here giving it a thumbs up)will still buy mainstream. my 3c
