  1. Lady made fliers and put them in all the complexes in area and that is how he has been found.Guy is supposedly a doctor,builder,etc..
  2. I'm betting on a fine only.
  3. She does confirm that after altercation the driver stopped and then she decided to ride up to him to try and reason with him.Things just went south from there.
  4. Lady on radio and has confirmed that guy has been found.
  5. I agree but you are assuming that in a confrontation people are reasonable.SA society are on the absolute edge. There have been many occasions on the hub where people have confronted someone on the road about something only to receive a totally overboard reaction.I agree with you the guy is a d@@s and must pay but what I'm getting at is if you want to confront someone in SA,be prepared to maybe loose your life.
  6. So who got the 50K?
  7. Agree,at the end of the he he will walk. Can already see it now, upstanding doctor in the community busy taking his kids to school when cyclist jumps red robot and then starts hurling insults at him.One thing about 567 is that they usually have BOTH sides of the story so very interested to hear that.
  8. I agree 100% with you Caerus but all of that is hearsay and nothing is confirmed. We all getting emotional over 3rd hand knowledge .
  9. Unfortunately in SA law with that attitude the only person who ends up in jail is the husband.Real clever.
  10. As always lots of aggro on the hub but I would like to get some more info.Time? Was the lady cycling at say 6am no lights. What stop street did he jump?I understand the OP is absolutely the moer in as all of us would be if it was our wives. How confrontational was his wife? She tell the driver off with a few swear words included.I like everyone here am ready to go look for this guy and moer him but how about for a change on the hub we get all the info first.
  11. It's on the hub so it must be true.
  12. Table View and Waves Edge has a very active Facebook page.Im sure if you post on there you will have your man by the end of the day but need details of area and road .
  13. Can you give us more details on stop street and area where this occurred.Im in the area and will keep a lookout. What time did this all happen?
  14. Sorry but in my opinion it's a waste of time and money.I have a quarq for road and also thought i would get the powercal to compliment for mtb.Total waste of time and no better than just using HR.As they openly admit the numbers are no where near accurate so might as well not even call it power but some other random name.Yes as asked there are zillion things that affect HR along with the fact that the belt often just stops reading HR and there goes any data you trying to use for your workout. If you can't affoerd a powermeter just stick with your hr monitor that works. In the end I just got frustrated with readings that are waaaaay off and a crappy belt that looses signal every now and then. This all happened within the 1st month I got the thing and yes I did a lot of comparing it with a proper powermeter. If you buy one I promise in a few months it will be at the back of your sock draw like mine.Money wasted.
  15. Yep.Problem is that they DHL it to SA and then it goes through our post office so is tough to track.Usually takes 3-6 weeks which is crap since you are paying for DHL postage, but that is the only option they give.Best is to try post it to a mate in Europe who then posts it to you.A mate of mine is busy setting up international post boxes(Aramex/Berco).Once this is in place you use that as postage adress(which is usually free) and then Berco will ship it to your address with tracking in 3 days.
  16. I'm a bit confused.Is Hells in or out?
  17. Distance the same for all cats?
  18. I'm still trying to get round that they spent almost the same for mtb projects as they did on their garden.I'm not fooled by the"we in it for the cyclist" line.Ppa is a business and there to make money. If you look at the statements and compare what they put into cycling and what their salaries and investments are it's shocking.
  19. Hope you come right Mojo.As with eveything in SA i've found you only get good results when you become hardass otherwise manufacturers will try their luck.
  20. I hope you filled out your warranty card. There is always a loophole somewhere for themselves.
  21. It's like medical aid,no one reads anything and then gets pissed when you got to pay in. We presume far too much in life.Presumption is the mother of all FU.
  22. Another misconception is maximum weight. This is calculated by rider, bike and all the cr@p you are carring with you. SB
  23. I think you need to read the fine print on the warranty of your bike first.Something no one does at time of purchase, only once they have a problem they get pissed.I say this because many manufacturers do not consider the rear triangle as part of the frame on a DS bike.Whether this is right or wrong is not important. If that's what it states in the warranty they don't really have to help you at all and you basically have to take what they give you.
  24. Good luck Rozalia for this week.I'm sure Jeroen has prepared you well.He has a good reputation as coach for our top mtbikers.Keep us posted with results.
