Just count yourself lucky.Mate of mine just discovered a crack on the rear chain stay of his ally Epic on the weld.1st owner,got proof of purchase etc.Manufacturer agree it's a warranty but are only replacing rear triangle.I'm interested to see who pays for rebuild etc and if they now use the old pivot bearings in bike and who also pays for that.I think he might still be lucky because some companies(Spez included ) don't see the rear triangle as part of the bike.

With all this energy going into bitching how about rather transferring that energy into support for the course builders as well as the ballies taking part.Been in xco for a long time and I know that in almost every age group we have real podium contenders and we will come home with a few World champs as well.Really sad to hear about Chris.

Aaa,I remember those days.Not on smaller bikes tho.One bike for everything.4 X Friday night,XC Saturday,DH Sunday and if you weren't bruised nough you would sommer give trials a go on Sunday pm.All on same bike.Talk about entertaining .

As always on the hub I wonder how many guys giving advice telling htfu etc have actually ridden a xco.Gap jumps,rock gardens,doubles no problem on your own. Throw in 50 okes all trying to hit that double at the same time,different story.Imagine if in a effort to save time in the downhill they let 5 guys off at once.

We currently have 30-35 people here in Cape Town on the transplant list.Most are under 45 years old.Most will tell you they exercised while sick and then just started getting worse over a period of time and YES some even just went to gym while sick.We do 12-15 transplants a year.You do the maths.Some are waiting for over a year for a heart.Some on the list unfortunately won't make it.Around 2 on the list if they can afford will get a artificial heart. Bottom line is,you want to take a chance?

Please tell me what car offers life time warrenty even for 1st time owners?And most bike manufacturers don't offer life time any more.Most only offer 5 years.

The bike manufactures are not stupid guys.They know this is going on.Now days when you fill out a warrenty form they will ask you for proof of purchase and your ID.All manufacturers have warranty only on original owner,that is why when you sell second hand you have such a HUGE price drop.I see in classifieds a lot of bikes going for huge amounts.Bottom line is ,second hand=NO WARRANTY.I know there will be guys that will chirp in how they got it right but those days are ending.

Sorry I find it hard to get exited about this.MTN is basically a euro team with a few Saffa's on the bus.If you want support at least let the saffas ride.I think there is more support for Orica and shimano at the moment.
