  1. What a load of BS.I rate this the same BS as the LCHF diet. Go ahead and flame...
  2. As you can imagine 50 odd riders on around a 5/6 km lap they have to pull riders off to be fair to the front guys.thats the rule.If they want to get rude(was done at African Continental champs)they can pull you off if you more than 80% of a lap behind leading guys.
  3. If you only entered now no need to train.Seeding on the line will be according to when you entered the event so at the moment you have at least 50 people ahead of you on the start line. When the front guys come round to finish lap 1 of the 5 km course maybe you would have started by then. Not trying to be mean but that is the reality of starting so far back.If you gt laped you get taken off the course.
  4. Any answer to Firewolf's question?
  5. I'm sorry but angiogram and stents are not something to be sneezed at.At the very least the Cardiologist needs to sit down with you and explain everything especially the stent part.I don't care what anyone says but I will NEVER EVER have one of those put in me.Stents are often brushed over and patients just accept it because they like the idea of going home the same/next day.Ask him what are the patency rate of the stents, what stent he uses, how often HIS patients have to come back to be re-stented.What are ALL your options and most of all will you have to take plavix for the next year. Good luck. SB
  6. Please tell me you had a stress ECG or at least a echo BEFORE you are having a angio.Who did you see by the way?
  7. Nope,a lot of them end up on the hub.
  8. Rode it on Tuesday, garmin gave me altitude gain for 1 lap of 90 000 meters.I think my garmin may be a bit off.
  9. Busy putting cleats on my wellies as we speak.
  10. drugfreesport has a great app for iphone.Just type in drug and it tells you everything.
  11. What age group you in Swissvan? As far as I understood seeding for startline was going to go according to national seeding and points obtained at national XC races. If you have been racing nationals you will see the SA masters are serious and motivated. If you havn't done lap racing for a while and have entered you may be in for a surprise.Just about every ex SA national champion has come out of the woodwork for this event.Jeroen Swart,Fritz Pienaar ect etc will all be on the line and strong. I wont be surprised at all if a few WC come out of SA at the end of this event. See you all on the start line. SB
  12. I'm pretty sure this was not just a random test.As said before that would be a waste of money. They must of acted on a tip off.
  13. I believe he had a stent put in less than 6 months ago.

As always lot's of opinions from the hub.Any opinions from people who have actually ridden the groupset?
  16. Yes How about giving us the weight of the guys in the team.Rumour has it that Bif is clocking over 100kg.Can't believe captain of the number 1 team in the world has a fat ass like that.I feel the older guys really have become complacent.Sure they are good, but they could be soooo much better. How does Smith,Kallis and Rory pass the bleep test.Perhaps you could give us some inside info on what current level the guys are running at. Amla is my man, focused and disciplined.
  17. Sorry,I thought that was what I had just said.
  18. The benefit of the lisence is you don't have to pay the R35 day lisence for every event you do.
  19. Sorry stretch, dont know where you get your info from but it's wrong.Maybe i should rephrase , if you want to do nationals(road or mtb) you definately need a full racing license.CSA will only aprove this once your club has aproved it first.
  20. PPA membership does not include csa license any more. You will have to join CSA (R75 a year) or pay R35 day license per MTN event. It depends on what events you do.For many joining PPA is now a waste of money. If you only do ppa events then it's worth it.If you do national events you have to get a full racing licence but have to belong to a club to get one of those so club fees must be added as well.
  21. So i rode or tried to ride the track today and all i can say is that it is in a shocking state. If CWC has paid someone to clean the track i recon they should ask for their money back. Was really disappointed as i phoned the shop in the week and a guy told me the track had been cleaned. It was a real waste of a trip. Please CWC,clean and mark this track.Pity as even Burry reckoned that it was one of the best tracks he has ridden. SB
  22. Cycles Direct Blouberg hit in November,7 bikes gone(epics and anthems). The guys were pros, less than a minute in and out.Got it all on video.Think it was the same white van that hit Gecko cycles.Apparently guys were caught and were out on bail.Biggest problem hear is that there is obviously a buyer.
