  1. Doing a few raids is a temp solution. The people who are living on the side of the trail need to relocated and housed elsewhere and then the access to the lanes need to be secured. Problem here is that they are living on SANRAIL property and CoCT can not actively do anything about it, and national Gov. does not really give a dam. If they are able to clear away they are still stuck with the issue that there is very little visibility on the lanes and users of the lanes, so people are at risk of muggers. Continuous patrolling will help, but that carries a cost factor which can be better invested in high crime neighbourhoods in the Cape Flats, etc where people desperately need security. Long term solution is to relocate the lane to run parallel to the N1 and where there is a high level of visibility. That too carries complications with Gov. Roads, but this can be resolved.
  2. So I am "passively" looking for a fork and stumble on this .... the seller notes "has cosmetics work on the fork tower" damage in the add!?!?! This is an add placed by a supposed cycle store, WTF.

  7. I think you should have that looked at if they are coming out of the same hole .... either that or you ride e-bikes on flat tracks to get starbucks.

  15. Nice work @Andymann ...... but AutoCAD R14 ....... did you need a generator to jump start that old software! EDIT: If I recall correctly one used old Shakesperian English in the command prompt to execute commands.

  20. yo yo yo Not sure RE the current status of the dealer, but I can tell you that her bike has done many a thousand km and is still running strong. To the point where her wife is now using to the bike to also commute to town and back a few days a week. This has proven to have been a really good buy for them.
