Well, all the stars finally aligned and I got the chance to go meet a few fellow hubbers and ride with them at Jonkershoek today. Been trying to get my sh@t together for months to go out that way again. Really nice bike you got yourself eddy. [emoji108] I saw a really nice Litespeed at my Lbs this week with a brown Brooks saddle and brown Brooks bartape. The owner of this bike actually has two of them, the other one has yellow decals with yellow tyres and yellow bartape. I'm starting to develop a 'thing' for these bikes. The crank spindle sizes are the same through out all Shimano Hollowtech cranks, the only difference between the new and old XT cranks are the BCD. The newer 11 speed XT crank has a smaller BCD and the 1x chainrings from Shimano are made with this smaller BCD. If you have the older XT crank just pop an aftermarket 1x chainring like Absolute Black, Kalbo or Rapide on there. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk

There are quite a few nice trails in the Kleinmond and Hermanus. On Betty's Bay side just past Palmiet you have the Kogelberg nature reserve that has some jeep track to ride. Towards Hermanus side there are some trails on the Honingklip farm just past Arabella. In Sandbaai just before Hermanus there is the Hemel-en-Aarde trail network that starts from Euodia Cycles, they are in the complex to your left heading towards Hermanus. If you are willing to do a bit of traveling, you can drive over the mountain via the N2 to Grabouw where you'll find some more nice trails like Paul Cluver and Oak Valley.
