  1. I don't now hey? Did these views include beautifull scantily dressed woman whooing you with ice cold beer? Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  2. Those SC Hightowers sure do look the business. Saw one at my Lbs during the week and couldn't help but wonder what my life would be like.......... Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  3. All good, I also use Strava and sometimes I chase segments and don't stop for pics like a true Stravasshole aswell, but for the most part its just to keep track of my training. I have Endomondo aswell, but prefer using Strava. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  4. Only have Stava for a week and already you're a Stravasshole.[emoji6] Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  5. Will probably only be riding in the dark again next week, but will give some feedback on the light. Its really well priced and supposedly has good warranty aswell. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  6. Had a look again today, this is what I saw previously aswell. In my mind I compared this to the Schwalbe tueless ready tyres wich have extremely thin sidewalls. Only 26" tyres available at my Lbs are Crossmarks wich I have mentioned before I'm not keen on riding with, especially on my trailbike. But there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel, my Lbs have some Onza Ibex 26"×2.25 on order for me. Looking forward to giving these a go. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  7. This pic is from my ride on wednesday evening, had a good one with just over 20km and 600m of climbing. Went riding last night aswell, but a combo between a bonk and a cold saw me limping back with only 12km in the legs and no energy for taking pics. I find something calming about riding alone in the dark, luckily its stil pretty safe in my neck of the woods. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  8. After the umpteenth close call with coming of the bike in the dark last night, I decided that it would be in my own best interest to get a bigger better light than my Ryder Crux 250 lumens. This should be appropriate for my night riding. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  9. Will go nicely with my new socks and armwarmers. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  10. I always though it meant something along the lines of disregarding youre own well being by pushing beyond youre personal limit or comfort zone and putting yourself in a 'win it or bin it' situation. But yours sounds more legit though. [emoji106] Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  11. How long have you been waiting to apply that little bit of trivia? [emoji6] Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  12. Thanx for the correction Robodog,I was sure that I'd read something about 'tubeless ready' on a Onza a while ago. Will check with my Lbs what they can get for me. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  13. Got these today as it seems that the winter has arrived in the Western Cape. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  14. Glad you enjoyed the race. Now that you have seen what the terrain in the Breederiver Valley looks like you know that this is rough stuff. This is why I will always recommend Crossmarks in my valley. However, as I've said previously the Crossmarks do not suit my riding style, to little grip on them. The current Onza's are wont last long, as youve seen for yourself, on our trails.I am very happy with my Vitorria Barzo/Saguaro combo on my 29" XC bike, they offer a very good balance between grip, weight and strength. I would like to try Onza's on my 26" 'trail bike' for better grip, but would prefer if they were to import a UST/full tubeless type tyre. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  15. Havent seen these yet, but they look a lot more grippy than the normal Crossmark and I might give them a go if they become readily available at my Lbs. That is if they come in something wider than 2.1 though,if not they wont see anything other than the rear rim on my bike. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  16. Seeing that the organizers almost cancelled the race because of lack of interest, I think they made lemonade from lemons and did an okay job for the small amount of entries they had. I also feel that there's a few wrinkles that have to be ironed out, but even big races like the EPIC or W2W have a few entrants who arent happy with everything. I think the wind was probably also a big hinderence for many riders. All in all most people seemed happy to be there. I hope the organisers get some more interest next year and that the event will grow in numbers an quality. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  17. I am also a big fan of the Crossmark because of it being IMHO the most robust tyre I've encountered, it is capable and suitable for most of our rocky and clad stone terrain in the Breederiver Valley in the dry summer conditions. Having said that I wont run them on my bike because they have little to no grip in wet, muddy or loose gravel terrain and are quit heavy. I am quite fond of my Vittoria tyres as they give a good combonation between strenght, grip and little rolling resistance. Would however not mind giving the ONZA's a go to see what the hype is about.I must admit, I quite like the tread pattern on both the CANIS and IBEX models, they look very grippy. 18. So everyone ready for this one? Will be seing you guys at registration tomorrow. Come say hello if you recognize me from my pics here. Always nice to meet other hubbers. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  19. Really bummed that I wont be able to do this event again this year because of work obligations. Luckely I live near DeDoorns so I will be riding the route on the Sunday after the race while the markings are still fresh. Will just have to race against Strava..... 20. Both sound like great ideas, do all of it! Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  21. I set out this morning on a ride to a ride.Joined up with 4 others to have a test ride of the 30km route of one of our local races. My kniees are stil hurting very much from a ride earlier this week,so my average speed was very poor.Ended up with about 80km's in the legs when I got home.Ouch!! The route runs through a few farms and we passed this game camp on one of them. One of the guys got a flat and we ended up making a picnic of it.This pic was on my way home riding alone again. This was an atempt at a new kit selfie. This was going uphill and both my kniees were shot by now, hence the k@k expresion on my face.[emoji4] Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  22. Thats how you get stronger. The High cadence spinning is more taxing on the lungs/fitness,but youre legs work slightly less.Thats why the roadies have such thin legs and us mtb folks have the buldging muscles.[emoji185] But seriously, when youre lungs/fitness get use to the high cadence you'll be able to go faster in the heavier gears aswell without spinning, thus building more leg power and the ability to keep up the speed on climbs. In short it makes you faster! [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  23. Not a Spez fan,but man-o-man,that is a thing of beauty.[emoji108] Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  24. Holy moly!Thats a thing of beauty.NICE![emoji106] Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  25. My bike only took me to work yesterday, but I stopped for a coffee along the way and realised that the cup matched the colour scheme of my bike nicely. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
