As of late all my evening rides are spent mostly in the dark,so not much to take pics of.However yesterday evening on my ride on one of the usual routes past the nearby game reserve I noticed that one of the closed of roads had been reopened,I jumped at the opertunity and headed up past the lions den.Even though there were two fences between us I still got an eerie feeling from them staring at me with those glearing eyes. Did a ride with a couple of mates this morning around the Slanghoek valley.We explored some newly built trails and if these are for the Gravel & Grape stage race you guys are in for a treat.Was a long day in the saddle as the other two were very unfit and I am suffering from a slight cold and the 80km road almost got the better of us. We passed this little guy on the road.Some of the new singletrack.Some beautifull views from the top of the trail.We made a pitstop at Goudini Spa to have a Coke and a rest in the shade before tackling the last 25km home. Upgraded the gearing on my XTC to full XT 2×10 yesterday.Crank,back and front deraileurs and shifters.Only the brakes are BL-M615 instead of XT.

Not a new purchase,but recently this set of Magura brakes from a Spez found there way onto my singlespeed.

Got some new goodies today.Koryak seatpost and stem from PRO components.Not the lightest but I love the look of them.

The season is turning and theres not much to see in the dark on my evening rides anymore.

Also,I am looking for a brake caliper.I know it is probably some chinese part,but it looks really neat and would be perfect the build I am busy with.The name printed on it is Royal Campe,if anyone might know where I could find an similar calipar it would be apreciated if you could point me in the right direction.

Was looking through my bikeparts for a stem earlier this evening an my 4 year old son who was with me noticed an old road bar amongst the parts. He insisted that we fit it to his bike,cause he wants a "padfiets" too.Watch out for the mini monstercross.He had a quick spin up the driveway and after almost falling twice he decided that "padfietse" arent for him yet and that we can try it again later this year when he turns 5,cause then he'll be a "groot seun".

Changed the stem and bar combo on my singlespeed today.Was running a 70mm stem with 680mm flat bar,moved to a 50mm stem and 680mm rizer bar,not sure about the rize or sweep.

Did a slow 50km ride with a mate on the farms around town this morning.Was rewarded for getting up early with beautifull sunrise.As alot of my rides tend to do,this one also took me past the Breederiver wich as always was looking at its best for a picture.

4 days.........either youre doing a massive rebuild or you dont know what youre doing....... [emoji185] #justjoking

Its a shame hey,that black chain would've looked 'the buisness'.
