  1. From CRC or CubaSA?
  2. From the A2 bunch didnt see much congestion, enjoyed the race a lot. First 25km was awesome, yes it will never compare with an Induna or Mankele, but from the area they had route was great. Nice fast flowing single track. I had a bit of a head-over-handlebars experience at the halfway mark and from then the up-n-down profile of the route was flipn tough! But all in all a good day.
  3. What time is it on tonight?
  4. 26 years and smoke free. Creature of habit, so would struggle to let it go, so just never started. Respect for you okes kicking the habit!!

  6. Yes in Witbank we have even more mine dumps, foggy skies, and slurry dams... I hate you as well (slightly)
  7. No pro, but will stop serious riding week before, take easy cycle on the Tuesday and more easy on Thursday just to keep active. My 0.5c
  8. Awesome!! Not just cycling, but folks out there with their kiddies.
  9. OMW - Only 74 posts in ~2.5 years! Kansas would not approve. PS Full susser rules, been riding one since April and took buddy's HT out two weeks ago and it was horrible.

  11. We call them 'legs', you should already have a pair. IdeJongh2009-11-04 05:51:28
  12. I know of an oke who got his addidas with perscription inserts through Med. So hopefully can get these as well. Need a pair urgently, Im stuffing up my normal glasses, cant go without them, will be stuffing up my scull.
  13. Ok, for the blind moles, you are able to put these with the lense insert through the medical aid, correct?
  14. Hi Adrian Welcome to the hub, and welcome to MTB! (You made the right choice ) In terms of races, dont take it too serious, I wanted to 'overtrain' so much before racing and a buddy convinced me to just go for it. And it was awesome!! Just training the whole time dampens the motivation a bit, do small races to keep the interest up (Babbas Lodge has an excellent 35km for guys getting started - 16 Dec if im correct) You'll slowly build up to the longer distances! Enjoy!
  15. No thanks. My lip will stay hair free. I do the 'designer stubble' now and again (aka too lazy to shave) but thats as far as it goes!IdeJongh2009-11-03 00:01:29
  16. NCR: Went to Tiger Wheel on Saturday to get car wheel puncture fixed. They were flippen busy...so what do you expect, rushed horrid service? Not these okes, they had a lady stand in the parking lot, as you get out your car she asks what she can help with and walked with you to the shop and called the appropriate oke to sort you out. Well done.
  17. My MTB saddle is flipn hard and I dig it, mate of mine hates it, needs a sofa cushion to be happy, different okes, different strokes i guess.
  18. Also dont forget Babbas Lodge on Sunday, nice and flat 35km for getting started. Welcome to the sport, I only started in Jan so classify myself as very nooby-ish, but as mentioned super addictive.
  19. No man Kansas, bar tape is pimping...but then again, I am from witbank. Slap some deep sections on...and some neons, and a wing to help with the downforce. Aaaaight!
  20. Best thing you can do is move your Raleigh to the garage, then drive over it and buy yourself a mountain bike.
