  1. I think he did get a new bike from one of the witnesses. I hope these two little wordicantuse idiots get caught.
  2. I have to second this from my experience this weekend on the Silverstar race. On the rocky descents the extra 120mm travel up front and bit in the back on my Sprada helped a lot in keeping speed up and even passing a few people off line in single track, but it's still about 13Kg with a dropper post so light enough to not be a tank. Trail bikes make sense for me in Gauteng if you are only going to have one bike for everything and want to try everything. (Disclaimer: Within reason, mileage my vary, all opinions expressed are IMO and should be taken as such. Batteries not included )
  3. Then either the rotor's still bent or you had the same thing I had. Instead of centering by pulling the brake, try centering manually by hand tighten one bolt, center other by hand and tighten, worked on a brake that I could not get to stop rubbing.
  4. It's brakes....if they break thats wrong sir. Sorry pet peeve along with loosing.
  5. SLX brakes with 180mm and 160mm ICE-Tech rotors and pads. Felt spongy at first, bedded them in a bit, now they'll send me over the bars and stop my heart if I'm not carefull. And Maxiss Ardent up front, but that's secondary.
  6. Haven't used the Flows, but my Arch EX's feel plenty strong enough and I'm still 95 Kg, and they are decently light. So good enough for me. Unless you're hucking like its hot
  7. Because Cycle Science are playing the it's everybody's fault but ours card. They could have resolved this all a long time ago.
  8. I prefer the term kitten. Bit of a .......
  9. I'm on 8 months now. Craving have been horrible lately as life has been hard, but not giving in for anything.
  10. She is going to be a beauty. And the name is perfect!
  11. Love my Sprada 1. Amazing ride, great price and great components. Go ride both. My 2c
  12. EFT's as such no. But the old cheque deposit, fake POP, cheque bounce is still around a lot. For payments from an FNB account, there is a verification page on the main FNB page to ensure that the payment is genuine.
  13. That's a very good deal, worth it. I swear by the Joe's kit for non tubeless rims, depending on your tyres you could convert. I've converted non tubeless Racing Ralphs that are by all accounts holier than a pack of nuns without one issue. The advantages are nice so my advice would be go for it.
  14. As per the regulations the white line may be crossed to pass cyclists riding single file to give them at least 1m space. Provided no oncoming traffic of course. But hey this dead horse has been flogged, time to let it rest.
  15. but....but....but....it's not Friday yet
  16. Eish man, sorry to hear. Luckily insurance is there but still not nice. Maybe post some photos for the guys to look out for.
  17. I went with Japanese names for my cats. They always sound interisting. I'd suggest Mitsuko, which means light, child or shining, child.
  18. There is a 350mm total 100mm drop version of the Supernatural. Or just go for a reverb or xfusoon
  19. Depends on what you mean there.....if you mean buying locally pretty sure they don't have a distributor this side. If you mean buy locally produced products then .......lol.
  20. One of the bands I grew up with, find myself lately listening more and more to music from that time, The Offspring, Gorillas, Stereophonics, not the best or deepest lyrics but that.....energy as you call it. One of my favourites lately: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iODSZL7XkQ
  21. Theoretically, and someone should correct me if I'm wrong. It should work for up to 9 speed as the pull ratio's were the same up until then according to what I understand. Another ludicrous option might be to stick on a road bike STI if the pull ratio's are the same for road and MTB Or, friction shifters, since they don't really care which side they are. http://static.jensonusa.com/images/Default-Image/Zoom/887/SL400A02.jpg
  22. Theoretically yes I suppose, it'll be upside down but with the rapidfire+ multi release you'll stll be able to push to downshift put an awkward pull for upshift.... Best option would be a sram gripshift option, worst that could be is the wrong way around.
  23. Lol funny but... You have never seen a Yorkie demoer in have you......mine charge two Boerboels and came out with a little scrape, also regularly terrorises the cats because he's faster than them.
  24. Yup, doing the 40km.
  25. Suppose it's time I added my little one. He may look like a rat but he has the heart of a Lion. Love him to bits.
