  1. Hey Wizard, I have a pair as well. Before I bought them I asked a few questions on the hub, and the one anser which sticks in my mind when I asked if they go dark enough, was that they dont go drak enough if you plan on welding anything!! So far though, they have been absolutely fantastic!! Enjoy them!
  2. why did'nt u put a front shock on?
  3. Heres one for the techies, If I want to replace a crank, do I need to replace the BB as well? Or is a crank compatible with all BB's? If not, how do I know if a particular BB will fit my frame? So for example are there several different BB's which one could use for a shimano 105 crank? Thanks!!
  4. Im leaning towards game followed by coco pops and milk noche2009-11-09 13:21:22

I thought the advertising an SAt AM on the spruit was brilliant! Other suppliers should consider doing the same. Its such good publicity! Would have loved a test ride, but with all the mud it would have gona from brand new to a demo in half a metre!
  7. I though the point of mud gurads was to keep ur juice bottle nozzle clean?? Does anyone know if u get juice bottles with some type of covering ver the nozzle to keep it clean?? MTB's are supposed to get dirty!!
  8. Im in the same boat as you! Feedback please
  9. try ky gel, I hear it works like a charm
  10. Is Muxman the only contributor??
  11. just saw on the buyers guide ts 25k so its outa range
  12. Some feed back on this would be muchly appreciated!! Im on the market for a road bike. While I owuld love a carbon dura ace steed, my measly budget of +-R12 - R13k is'nt going to allow for it, well at least new anyways. So besides searching thehub for good deals, here are my options new. 1. 2009 raleigh rc6000 full 105, carbon fork and rear seat stays, mavic aksiums wheels 2. Felt f85, carbon fork, 105 groupo, mavic wheels (but not aksiums, and an FSA crank 3. Merida 904 full 105, alex rims wheels Thats about it in my price range. Any suggestions???
  13. I rode the 56km race today, and I thought the water points were great. I mean they even had vetkoek on offer (which i politely said no to in lieu of a piesang!!!). The water point just before ''sorry'' had the most delcious naartjie flavoured game which made me feel like I was 6 years old. And you know what?? It tastes better than ANYTHING out there. There is alot to be said for the good old fashioned drinks. We all drink these enhanced drinks but at the end of the day comon, its all just sugar is'nt it?? I think Im done spending R200+ on a tub of ''fancy sugar'' and in future I'm just gonna go for game/energade.
  14. My 2 cents. I got the polar f6. It is rather basic but it does show your heart rate as a % of maximum. I use it for running as well, so for the bike I got a bike mount for R100bucks. There are some seriously advanced ones out there so i gues it depends what you looking for. I wanted something entry level that would keep track of my sessions. I paid roughly 1400 for it.
  15. So after creating this thread, I thought it would only be fair to let everyone know how my inevitable conversion went. Decided to go for the geax saguaro, as the conti's were a lil soft and looked like I was gonna replace them real soon. The bike sho converted my rims with joe's strips, and have'nt had an issue yet. Went riding with them yesterday, and instantly noticed the softer ride. No puncture experiences yet but im sure they will come.
  16. Ja they still there. Selling beauts I may add. Is a yeti a yuppie bike??? Or it it actually worth the cesh???
  17. Ok, bringing back an old thread, but Im gonna drop the wheels off at the LBS today. Final Questions: 1. I weigh 90kg's, will this affect the tubeless?? 2. Which tyres??? I am considering a mountain king upfront and a race king at the back???
  18. My 2 cents, I was in the market for a saddle, and ended up with a selle italia, but a gobi was i the running. Spoke to the agents here in JHB and the were FANTASTIC. They sent a trial saddle to a bike shop for me, and gave such good service and advice. So for what its worth give them a call, Im sure they will sort it out, based on my experiences anyways.
  19. Hey all, Was just wondering if there are any good group rides going down on the 24th. I live in Sandton, but dont mind doing a bit of travelling. MTB of course
  20. Rad, the most popular setup that Ive seen around is a conti mountain king on front and a speed king on the back. Would anyone else agree??
