Right, managed to upload the software and a few app. What watch faces are you using? which ones are configurable?

On the watch I have seen an auto update function and on the Garmin Express app under settings, you can set when it updates. It is probably set up as anytime.

It has bitlocker on the actual PC and it required encryption of any device connecting to it. It says that the Fenix is too small to protect and hence the PC will not download anything to the Fenix without it being protected by bitlocker so cannot use the work PC at all. So, if I setup wifi via Garmin express app on my laptop, then get the Fenix to connect to my home wifi (the one I setup in the app), it will update my software?

I cannot update my watch as I only have my work laptop and it's security does not allow any downloads. How do I get it to update via my phone or over a wi-fi network? I am willing to deal with the slowness.

Aahh ok. When you first switch it on it asks for all the settings you want and i said km at that time but then it went to miles again. Will check that Connect app now and change them also. Thanks

Is there any sort of calibration required? In went for my firt ride with the Fenix and it tells me very different stuff than the Shealth app on my phone i used. In was rather surprised. I would guess the fenix is more accurate with gos stats (distance, speed...etc)?

Aaahh, thanks Bobbo_SA. I tried to add this file manually and got a "write protect" error and then i realized, our company has installed bit locker on our pcs preventing downloading anything onto am external device unless you encript it. The Fenix is too small to encrypt so i need to use another pc to load this file...aaarrggg....i dont have another pc.

Pardon my ignorance, but where do i find this uldate file to put in the directory?

Thats small. Its starts downloading the files then just says theres an error downloading

Typicall how big is a software update? Wanted to download a different watch face but have to uldate the software and when i try i keep getting an error. Doing this on Garmin express on the laptop.

Nope. Will log onto the computer later amd check out the connect app. So far im a little overwhelmed at this piece of amzingness. I find myself staring at it alot amd worried I will knock it on something. ..lol

I should have just taken the day off...hahaha...soooooo much to play with. Im trying to pair with my phone says its paired and entered the code but the watch does not want to pair...what am indoing wrong?

Quick question: On my Fenix 3 HR, the dials (markings) of the first quater are illuminated (From the 12:00 to the 15:00) and the rest are not. From the box and pics on the net, this seems normal. Why is this? Pic attached, if you can make it out

I know what you mean, it sure is big and bold and I have relatively small wrists so it does look a little bit large but once your eyes accustom to it, you really forget about the size and enjoy all the things it does (I have only played with it for a few minutes). Besides, I have seen people wear much larger watches, it's the in thing...lol

I have anted one since they came out. Saved some cash, sold some parts and pulled the trigger. It's really beautiful. It's big and bold and will take some time to get used. I'm almost scared to wear it....lol

Behold: Is it weird that I feel slightly aroused while wearing it?
