    Saddle

Saddles, this is really very personal and no mater how much will advise what it best, you will never know until you really just go and try a few BUT this is expensive and hardly any places give out test saddles as the few that do not return/pay for them ruin it for the many. I'm in a testing phase as I have been having a little bit of tenderness. I was on a Specialized Henge 143mm, which was comfortable but got sore after a while. I recently got the Specialized Power saddle, 155 as that is what they measured me at (honestly think this measurement is a bit wishy washy as so many I see need a 155). So far had two ride son it and honestly not getting on with it at the moment but like anything in cycling you have to give a change. Perhaps its just getting used to the wider saddle but it actually feels like too much saddle and still get a little tenderness but will give it a go for a few more rides. In the interim, I bought a fabric scoop saddle here on the hub as it looks a bit slicker and think I need something like this so there is not chaffing. Anyway, the best is to take on the advice, pick one in your budget and give it a go. If it doesn't work, sell it and buy the next one you think that will work...etc. Try go for some second hand ones here on the hub to keep the cost down or try some of your mates saddles if they have different one.
  2. I am looking for a ball bearing for my saint pedal. Any old pair of spd pedals will do, they use the same size i think.
  3. Ive been using skate shoes for a while but find the soles too thin amd flexible. Can feel a bit of fatigue on my soles at the end of my ride. Cant find the trail cross shoes anywhere but seen the swift ones at due south that look like a great option (would like 5-10s but they just too pricey): http://www.duesouth.co.za/pdp/adidas-men-s-terrex-swift-solo-hiking-shoe-black-red/_/A-194614AAAH3;jsessionid=AFC3D889969196019F0CEDEE0BB9EAA4.node5
  4. I have been using the Fenix HR for a while and it's been awsome. It's the first time I am measuring my ride and setting some targets. Now that I can view my HR, I have no idea what to do with the info. On my rides I am 95% of the time in the red zone. I have not configured the zones as I don't know what to set then at. Please give me some guidance on how to use the HR effectively.
  5. As a matter of interest, which watch face are you using?
  6. Lol..thats a very long hole -
  7. I have found mine to good and reliable on my rides. It also depends on what you want I guess. For me it's perfect as I'm not that hung up on the beat accuracy and as long as it's in the ball park then it's good for me. If you serious about HR training and want to the beat accuracy then you need to measure what gives you the best accuracy needed for your training.
  8. Congrats. It's a very impressive piece of tech and really enjoying mine.
  9. If you have it on the inside then you can't really have a quick glance at it for info. You would have to take your hand off the handle bar and turn your wrist to read the info. I have never had any issues with the HR wearing it the "right" side up. Also, I want other riders to see it and be envious of me....hahahaha
  10. I havent tried to find this option as never needed it to be off. As Shaper mentioned below, it may not be available. Perhaps you cam make use of the autopause option thats pauses the activity when you stop and re-starts it again when you get going.
  11. Download the connect app and manage your setting there becuase when you set it up on the watch and it syncs with the app, the app will upload the setting it has. I am sure the autosave setting is in the app.
  12. Agree on the flavoured "Beer". I dont like them, they are more like coolers than glorious beer As for what is a craft beer, to me it's home made but not mass produced but these days eveyone gets on the band wagon
  13. Ahh man, what an awsome ride today gents. Thoroughly enjoyed it, except the uphills on the second loop. Im totally buggered after that but rode a good few new sections, Thaba is awsome.
  14. I have, held it for a while but nothing...... Ok unplugged from the pc and tried the reset amd voila, it worked.... Showee, tense moment in the household...lol
  15. So my fenix has frozen on me. Cannot do anything, cant even switch it off. Plugged it into the charger and nothing, doesn't even register on the pc. What can I do?
  16. Maybe Sunday?
  17. Yoh, hadn't ridden it since the first time i tried it. Its hectic man
  18. Only humans as far as I know. Humans don't get animal diseases and vice versa
  19. From faeces. It can stay in your stool for a couple months
  20. Both my kids were just diagnosed with it. Developed lots of spots, especially the baby. Luckily we never contracted it.
  21. Great. Will give it a bash later and see if I can get it right. Thanks for that.
  22. And its this done on the Watch or on the Garmin Express App?
  23. Yes, HR Version. Ok great so I am up to date. Lekker
  24. How do you "tone it down"
  25. Ok help me out here: I finally managed to down load the file in the Garmin Directory but the Watch still says Version 4.0? How do I update it through the update path? Or is 4.0 the latest version?
