Right,I deninately agree....crime does not know any race / colour /sex etc etc. Another example the thru axle skewers that was stolen at another premierMTB stage race!!! But when in this case the few facts points to a certain group of youngsters...I think a proper name & shame is not too much oug of order? Pity about the greater scheme of things that gets tarnished with the same brush....its unavoidable. changing of the thread title....nah, i'll stick tomyguns and will rather humbly apologise if proven wrong!! Ok, got newspaper with me...will scan entire article when im home again...next weekend. AND then on departure..decided to help themselves to some nice machines....somehow i just don't think they were pale males!!! Excuse my assumptions.... Seems the affected persons did not want to lay charges....having to come back to Knysa to court is a shlep i suppose. anyways, im pretty disgusted and thats the end of my goodwill....towards young riding teams then!! Source: Knysna plett Herald 4 July 2013 Summary - 3 high end bikes were stolen on Sunday from the finish. Quick response and observant people saw 8 youngsters dressed in cycling gear removing some bikes from the area. Security went to nearby local hostel....where....wait for it..... "They found the team members and their coach busy loading the bikes onto their trailer..." Wtf???? Shocking display of leadership by coach!! Even though PnP sponsored the event...you cannot just go around and go affirmative shopping!!!!! No criminal case was opened....pity!!! There goes my faith in humanity.... I'll not be helping any development teams anytime soon....they screwed it up for everybody!!!

Dude!! How quickly can one get into shape for this?? Comming from a dual 29er nad mostly jeeptrack riding wiff that middelmannetjie you wree referring to? R22k for such a trip is pretty doable!! More seriously: Are there some "normal" i.e. non DH tracks to explore? Are they "graded" like with ski slopes? I recall in one of your earlier psots you mentioned that ordinary Am biker can also make such a trip...

I've also asked that question in post #126....perhaps wrong place?? I did see soemwhere some 50% discounted kit...ASG perhaps?Apologies i did not pay enough attention.. BUT this could be very good exposure for CWC if Maroesjka could also have their kit on??
