  1. @swiss...I opened a can of worms.....and then closed it again! Seems you saw a few leak out
  2. My sons snake. He got it a month ago and since then it has grown fast. My boy reckons its better than his sisters hedgehog. The hedgehog nips now and again.. the cornsnake is really placid.
  3. Lots of ideas and opinions here. Personally I do eat meat. I do not wish to enter any debates..just wish to introduce and idea myself and an open minded vegan freind of mine discussed recently. We agreed that life should be considered and it is more 'responsible' to rather choose to eat a large animal like a cow who will feed many people than a smaller animal like a chicken that will feed one family for a day. Less lives lost.
  4. I do the same. Max out everything first before upgrade. During war half our okes dont use their attacks and then we lose by only one star. Peevs me off.
  5. level 10 clan. Im a seven. These dark games were easy. Just raided dark elixer drills and storages =)
  6. Hi there. Anyone playing clash of clans? Im really into it but have one snag. We have a lekker clan but a few folks dont pull their weight when its time for clan games or war. Booted a few slackers out. Anyone looking for a clan?
  7. I use a cup of future life...add a tablespoon of peanut butter and ten finely chopped dates. Add just enough hot water to bring together and roll in a bitesized ball. Dust with icing sugar and leave in sealed container in fridge .Take three of these with on a ride in a small sandwich bag. So cheap and they work.
  8. Ive had a really crappy day so this thread has been great fun. The funniest comment was the one referencing a gps so as not to get lost. Ive never used mine for that! I've got some freinds to ride with so usually between us we have a clue. Real men use their garmins for logging a ride for strava!
  9. Not necessarily...you are now in a position to adopt the "take it or leave it " strategy. Eg...do your bathroom the way you like, leave all your bikes in the lounge and indulge yourself in all your hearts desires. The right girl will accept it or just move off. Good long term strategy as you are priming her from the start to manage her expectations.
  10. Dont bother with the bathroom. Whatever you do a new bird is going to want to change it anyway! As long as thr toilet can flush its cool
  11. Good idea. Ill support your proposal.
  12. Me too. Only recently. Out of respect to my ex who is also a hubber I will not discuss those details. All I can say is that it is hard. You find out you are stronger than you think and take it day by day. Like hacc, I have also learnt to do many things like fix all the computer junk my ex used to do. I also have a toolbox, and what I dont know I google. I even learnt how to recharge my car battery with jumper cables after I left the lights on one night.
  13. I fully understand the theology..but your conclusions are based on the bible being true. Ill leave things there to not derail the thread further. Thanks for sharing.
  14. The religious issue is a hectic one....to be trapped in a marriage for life because of a relgious vow and fear of hellfire is sad, when one partner does not pull their weight. The other partner is left to either abondon their faith or live a life fufilling their vow to unconditionally respect and honour the other partner. There is a word for lifelong service like this of the unconditional kind.....its called slavery. This is in terms of folks that take the "till death we part" very literally.
  15. I see your point. My point is that marriage has two facets...the legal contact and the vow two people make to each other and sometimes before their god as well. Its the vowing part I cant do. I dont want to make lifelong vows I cannot be certain I can keep.
  16. Very true. To vow to love someone for the rest of your life is insane. I think marriage licences should be like drivers licences that naturally expire after a certain period of time. Couples can choose to renew if they want to. Going forward..the best I could ever offer someone will be my today...tomorrow who knows? I want to always be free to have that choice.
  17. Rode the hiking trails at the Umgeni Nature Reserve today.
  18. A while ago I needed to replace my chainrings and front derailer on my mtb. The cost of three chainrings and the derailer caused me to consider tossing the derailer away and getting a 34T oval from rapide. Besides being the cheaper option, I love the way the bike feels. Initially it felt like I had to work harder but I got used to it and now have a much smoother ride.
  19. I used to tease the runners. I now run on the treadmill and row at gym often. My climbing has never been better. Concerning junk miles...I have lots of those because I have been so lazy to log my rides on strava all those miles do not exist.....
  20. I feel better when I eat very little sugar but I could never cut it out completely. My local spar has indervidual lindor balls for sale at the till so I buy one of those when I have a craving. My theroy is that it is better than a slab. I believe human nature is rebellious..the moment we tell ourselves we are not allowed to have something we want it even more. So Im working on not saying no to myself for anything....
