  1. Great comeback from the gooners.
  2. Ironbull roadhouse in Basingstoke is a saffa owned and run pub. Over the last few years it’s been a regular for me. Unfortunately it’s closing its doors today. Landlord has sold the property apparently. ( Will confirm). real pity. So decided to do a long loop of south England and end up there. Bit moist with rain about and the monster affords no protection from the elements. first pics at Loomies, well known biker cafe. Out on my Monster. Bike makes me laugh. SRAD in great nick. 900 RF in less than great nick. Has 84000 miles on the clock. These old Suzukis never die. Mighty Monster at Ironbull. and this ex ZA legendary blues guitarist played some tunes. Wasn’t expecting him to play so a lil serendipity this Sunday afternoon
  3. How cool is this hey?

93….remarkable comeback….but still a twat. hats off to him, but Rossi is still king.
  5. That’s the name I couldn’t remember. Boegoeberg. I remember. Was on my tenere 660. What a lekker boney that was. my one mate, gentleman on WD scored a local chick. Her boyfriend came in his car looking for her. Feck, we still laugh about that.
  6. Sweet looking bikes, wow….nice choice. I have an alloy bike which is my go to , and I have a fancy high end carbon for when I wanna be a TdF racer. Both are lovely. all things being equal, in your shoes I would go alloy. But that’s just me. The extra coin for carbon won’t be realised imho. Compared to your current ride, both will be a HUGE upgrade. Cost difference could be used for some nice bits and/or upgraded wheels etc. enjoy.
  7. Nice one. Full ride report please. I went on a number of the WD events. Shadow mountain? Then the one near the dam , the name eclipses me. ( out near Orania). Think I went on about 5 or 6 of them. They were all good. I joined just after it started. Early 2006 iirc. It’s a great resource and the ous are willing to help each other which is very cool. i still send fotos to Welsh whenever i am in his hometown. 😂
  8. I was originally ollypiel as I am a member of the mighty pielkoppe bike club but that was found to be distasteful so changed to IceCreamMan. about 4 years ago I ran foul of the WD censors, surprisingly so , and decided to retire so deleted my profile. ( at least I think I did). it’s a great forum…great for adventure riding in ZA, Africa and the globe. Only advrider is better Imho. met so good folks at WD, including fanny Kilroy.
  9. Moved back to cape bout 8 years ago I think. how can he not attend? He is a bigger fanny than I thought.
  10. Tell Kilroy ICM says he is a big fanny ( but the Afrikaans word) 😂
  11. When embedded it evades all policemen
  12. Been using my Rudy Project Tralyx for years now. Really good for running even though I bought them for cycling.
  13. @ScottCM well done you legend you. best you give us a Lekker race report and all.
  14. Wow, this I suspect has never happened on this here forum before. you should be able to go through the private messages and the like.
  15. guess what’s back?
  16. RIP the sundance kid
  17. Cheers. Appreciate the response. This far it’s been bullet proof and the battery is as good as the day I bought it ( my perception anyway). only use it on my road bike when I go solo as I tend to day dream a bit out in the country lanes so this is a very cool investment.
  18. AAMOI - how many cycles have you put through it? my 510 is about 7 years old and still works perfectly. Have used it for over 15000 kms
  19. Always the optimist. 😂 reckon a Nelson would look cool as a number.
  20. Firing Nuno was a big mistake.
  21. sorry to hear. Have you any potential of recourse against the seller? Voetstoots is not a blanket amnesty in za law. seriously sucks

Ole Steiner gonna be a team manager. Man is a character that’s for sure. can only be a good thing.
  23. Really sorry to read this and given your sunken costs it’s heart breaking. this workshop ain’t done you any favours, this is a big miss and one that should have been picked up much much sooner. good luck with that ever you decide. While I am a fan of KTM, buying an old KTM has potential of heart break. good luck.
