  1. Is that front skewer on the right way?
  2. Just dropped my Jura off for a service at the coffee academy. Ah man they got some nice stuff there. Without my machine for a few days???? but I'm sure I'll survive.
  3. Yoh, so much want right here. https://www.instagram.com/p/CQLAIp-qFG4/?utm_medium=copy_link
  4. You can thank me by posting lekker pics here when you there riding.
  5. You going to watch Le Tour?
  6. Is Strand Street the new start? As in the same place we have started the last 2/3 years? Or is this another spot? The 43rd edition of the Cape Town Cycle Tour, presented by Pick n Pay is scheduled to take place on 10 October 2021. This year will see riders roll over the start line in Strand Street with a revised format and reduced participant numbers, but the iconic route stays the same. It's the only day in the year where you get to pedal the Peninsula and take in the beauty of the city and coastline on closed roads while at the same time generating much needed funds for those who are less fortunate.
  7. I think JA couldn't decide on a name. So he said the last race he did was Tour Swiss and who is a fellow rainbow band wearer that is Swiss. Nino. Ok sorted.
  8. There are 2 wheel building experts that frequent here that I know of, David and Nic. I am sure they will tell you pretty much the same as what has been said here already. We got 2 sets of Rolfs for the tandem and the fronts are radial and they supposed to be decent wheels but imho they k@k and it mostly comes down to how they laced. Our new carbon wheels we crossed the front twice and haven't had any issues.
  9. Reminds me of a mate of mine. Fell off his motorbike, luckily it wasn't too serious and worst damage to his body was his right pinky which broke. It wasn't the same afterwards though and it sat a bit skew, ok it was very skew. Now he played more golf than cycled but the broken finger messed with his golf swing. So much so that he had the thing removed!!!!! We laughed and said maybe now he will be a better cyclist as he is lighter. Well it didn't help with the cycling but his golf got better again apparently(I don't play so take his word for it). I hope Wout can be back to his best for the tour. He is a serious asset, even when he decides to sprint for the win after protecting Roglic all day. UAE vs JV vs IG is going to be a good battle this year.
  10. I wonder how Wout's recent medical issue will have affected him?
  11. Fishers is the one that veers off left. The one that carries on passed kloof is AG. EDIT: But most people call the one that carries on up passed kloof, fishers.
  12. I must admit, getting a mail about getting a discount on pics for a race I did 5 years ago is weird but I still find myself clicking the link and checking. I wonder if anyone has ever bough these 5 year old pics?
  13. I know times are tough, even for the worlds best and their teams but I wonder how often they change their chains? Also, not like Alan rides for a small team working on a budget.
  14. Where is this? Looks so familiar, just can't place it.
  15. What was up with our riders and chains yesterday? Really poor form from the mechanics, a chain should not break, especially not one on their bikes imho. Felt so bad for Alan, he was doing well.
  16. Fortunately it survived the dishwasher, But it takes days to dry, comes out of the DW with the holes full of water.
  17. My lighties each have one of these. Nice novelty, they have drunk from them once.
  18. Ok thanks. I was always worried about the knock off stuff not really sticking together well but it won't really matter with the plates. BUT also having said that, now that I think of it, my Dad found these small little brick set things where you buy 4 different boxes that are 4 small animals then once you have all 4 you can make one bigger animal. They look just like lego but they not lego, but they were bought because my lightie likes dinosaurs and sharks and they happened to have 2 sets where one is 4+1 dinos and 4+1 sharks. So I did try them with all the lego and the still connect just as good. Here is pretty much what I am talking about. We got a dinosaur one and a shark one like this but ours are 4+1. But we also had to wait a while to get them all for the dino one as you buy them as 4 separate kits and for a while the shop only had 3 and couldn't complete the final T-rex.
  19. Hey Hey, I posted a pic of Mick with a lekker Colnago a few pages back..........
  20. We are pretty surprised that they sold 51% but we hoping it is a sign of good things to come. Most of the big bosses of this consortium have all run very successful aviation companies. Global, Lift, Lanseria. Lets see how this will affect SAAT and the other subsidiaries.
  21. To say that is AWESOME is an understatement. You have a decent selection there. I/we have some of those pieces but not all. We have the hammerhead shark, still want to get the great white like yours.
  22. So if they pay 169k for a mtb they won't feel ripped off? *still struggling to find comic sans*
  23. Ah ok, yeah that makes sense.
  24. This is his return. What's with the "author" at the top right of your posts? You now part of the "team"?
  25. Rather coffee than Beer. That you leave for Fridays.
