  1. YOH that spinning elbow was BRUTAL. Not even going to attempt to spell the dudes name right but I hope we see him fight again soon. Last week......... sjoe also a good fight night. Chris Weidmans shin, man that looked unpleasant to say the least. Then the other dudes "dead leg", what a perfectly placed leg kick. The 3 title fights were top class. Didn't think Usman would make such short work of Jorge but kudo's to them both. Big respect between them.
  2. We need more info first. Like have you spoken to the seller? How long after the sale did you notice the crack? How far did you ride before noticing the crack? What frame? Pictures?
  3. Thanks, I wonder if they allow younger kids who are being towed? So not a tandem, not actually peddling. I was lucky enough to start when the minimum age was still 6. It was not long after I had done a few they changed the rule on recommendation from Tim Noakes. He said it's too far for a kid under that age. He even kakked my toppie out for "destroying his son's sporting future". He reckoned that before I finished school my knees and other joints would be so shot sport would be out of the question. Well here I am at 37 with 29 CTCTs to my name and still very sporty. My knees are still hundreds.
  4. That is such an awesome track. I love the undulations and the really sharp corners. Really hope it becomes one of the tracks used every year. The helicopter and overhead shots were also so cool on that track. Would have preferred to see the AM as the safety car, thought they were going to alternate. For me the final result sucks but it was still a good race with some drivers in weaker cars showing their skills. Did Kimi have a brain fart? Maybe that's why he just pulled over and went home, surely he could have nursed it back to the pits for a wing change?
  5. I think his car may still be the best but I think the gap is now a lot closer. I am still a firm believer if every driver got a DECENT chance in his car he would be mid pack. It is always interesting to watch ROC and see who really is the best. AFAIK Lewis has never been invited, pity, then we would really know if he is as good as his fans make him out to be.
  6. Ok so just 1 swipe by my wife and we done for the month.
  7. If there was a list of the biggest boxes, Hamilton would be tops there, for sure.
  8. Not sure you can "legally" do it. Even as a passenger. They will be too young. But always worth asking when the time arrives. There have been people ask before to relax the min age limit(think it's 12 at the moment) for passengers etc. Not sure if they came right. A mate of mine asked for his lightie(think he was about 8 at the time) but on a tandem and they wouldn't budge but a passenger they may be more lenient. There was a guy who towed his paraplegic son but I don't know how old he was. I would be interested to know what they say so do keep me posted in 2 years time. I would be keen to tow my kids as passnegers.
  9. TBH since I been racing at 6 y/o I just copied my toppie and chucked the kit into the wash after a ride regardless of how long or hot it was. Never even really thought about re using kit tbh. Come to think of it, last time I raced kremetart I changed kit between stages. Think I didn't change before the last stage though. I got enough kit that I don't need to worry about running out if the wife doesn't wash it fast enough. But I don't think I would re wear stuff, bibs especially. My sack and crack get really sweaty.
  10. So I am in the other boat. On our tandem we currently have a bit of a mix match. We running ultegra STIs, ultegra front derailleur, a XTR rear derailleur and dura-ace chainrings. We have both ultegra and sram cassette and chains. The chains and cassettes really don't last long. I would really look to this option on the tandem but how would we shift gears???? Also they would need to make a 56 and 44 T chainring options that fits on to our FSA carbon tandem cranks. I would love to have this option but it would mean them making too many different variants for such a small market. Doubt it will ever happen.
  11. Looks lekker, not just the wheels, the whole bike. All you need to do now is flip that stem the other way around and slam the stem. If the back doesn't allow the slamming you must at least flip the stem so the angle looks a bit better.
  12. Dude, I work for SAAT, I haven't received a full salary for over a year(most I have gotten is 50% of my basic which is like 30% of my normal salary) and S189 got announced yesterday, 60% of us are going. I got no zar to enjoy racing. He is my "sugar daddy" . He's retired and still loves racing so I will gladly allow him to pay for everything. I also love racing tandem with him.
  13. What are your requirements and what is "as little as possible"? You must have some sort of budget?
  14. Mango grounded. Owe ACSA money. ACSA won't allow any passenger flights to take off. They have been told to ferry all aircraft grounded at their airports to JNB and have them towed off ACSA grounds. The ones that were at JNB have already been towed here to Technical and parked. Plenty PAX stranded.
  15. Yes, we learned that as well with the PnP. R3k is half a shop for us at PnP. I have a family multiply membership and we both have smart shopper cards so we going to try swipe both each month and see if it is R3k per card or just as a family.
  16. Yeah you are correct. So apparently they just called wheel holders.
  17. Got the email on Thursday, told my toppie to check his mails. Got a message a few min later saying "done". #30 here we come. Cant flipping wait. Then an hour or so later I get another message from my toppie saying he's entered us into both Tshwane classic and Berg n Dale. Flip I had better up the training big time.
  18. Surprisingly no. But I would say that little ribbed strap thing that secures the wheel to the chock should be checked. Those I never left on without a bike on though so mine never saw sun but all the other parts held up well.
  19. Just be warned, taking the chocks off and on often wears them and that end plug thing out. I know because mine now are loose and the chock can rattle off with no bike on. My chocks didn't come off so lekker with that end plug in so I would remove both. I have now made a plan with the plug so it is vas again and I don't leave the racks on when not in use. EDIT: I drive a bakkie and I have an armadillo on the back so just leave the racks in the back unless I need the load bin space for other stuff.
  20. LOL but you rode a pretty fast CTCT on a BMX, that is worth plenty style points.
  21. I remember it has been asked here somewhere before and someone did give an answer. But for the life of me I can't remember who and what thread. I will continue searching incase whoever answered the last time doesn't see your post.
  22. There is another one where they speak a bit of spanish as well. Think its dora. My oldest started calling a spade a shovel and a few other words he added a bit of an american accent. Think he gets that from Blaze. Channel 307 and 309 amounts to a lot of my viewing.
  23. Don't we all try look cool on the bike? I am not very fast(anymore) but I still look cool on the bike. These bars..................are NOT cool.
  24. Bluey is not bad. it's australian but the "Dad" can be really funny.
  25. Same here. I was making biltong this weekend and the oldest asks what animal was killed for biltong? I laughed and said killed is such a harsh word. He then asks well how does it die then? After my long pause trying to come up with a answer suitable for a 5y/o he tells me they just shoot them.
