  1. sho this is my worst fear that this kind of thing will happen to me. You can take my car but dont take my bike & as long as you dont harm me. best of luck in finding your steeds
  2. okay its happened to me aswell Problem was my chainrings werent worn & it was only slipping from 7th,8th & 9th gear on the cassette when i applied force ie: standing & peddaling. I then shortened my chain by 2 links & voila problems solved - no more slipping of the chain. JB - perhaps you can assist me here, I would like to know on average how many links my chain should have. I have a long cage XT derailer, its 9spd & cant remember what the chainring figures are
  3. waaaaaayyyyyyy too big Ive got the 2litre blue wave vigour & works like the bomb for me. Just enough space to carry spare tube, tyre levers, chain breaker since ive given all my sram quick links away to others,Multitool, pump, housekeys & some extra tom incase theres a stop over at a coffee shop & thats pretty much it
  4. that makes sense, I for one didnt know that Thanks FP
  5. have all you punks left yet ?
  6. Sex On Fire - Kings Of Leon
  7. Absolutely, I get strange looks for having a can of extra firm hold hairspry in my tool box, but it works like a bomb. I've never ever had any of my grips work loose using this method. If it works for world cup mechanics, it should work for us mere mortals. sweeeeet
  8. yup my kendas did exactly the same but i have more wear on them than you do on the conti's. No skidding done. I also found that the knobblies start pulling apart IE: starts disintegrating & small chunks litterally break off the knobblies. I found this to happen especially when going down steep hills on gravel road ( not even rough terrain ), just plain gravel road at high speed ( between 45 & 55 km/h ) strange Anyhow ive never bothered getting in touch with Kenda & consiquently bought myself race kings. Im chuffed to high heaven with them & it brought the weight off considerably
  9. okay cool im gonna have a look for it tomorrow then - thanks for all your help
  10. Genkem makes one but 3M is better but very expensive. Don't get Fixative' date=' it is not glue. When you spray it on the bars and you've slipped the grips on, squeeze the grips to make proper contact.[/quote'] the genkem one - Is that the type of adhesive that has a yellowish color to it ?
  11. well then it sounds like i must pop into a art shop tomorrow. Does anyone have a name perhaps of contact glue that works well ?
  12. so unfair - my neighbours & evryone is going & guess where ill be this weekend. Hitting the trails all by myself money was too tight to go this year
  13. So i dont want to change my grips cause i really like what i have but they are slipping. I have bought lockon grips but i like what i have now soooo.... Here are some of the concoktions ( spelling ) that ive checked on the web so far. 1.Hairspray 2.Running the grip under hot water for 30 sec's & then sliding them on & leaving. Apparently they will contract onto the bars & not move - Im not so sure about that but anyway 3.spray on adhesive - have no idea where to get this though ? 4.boiling some rice until very sticky - then mashinto a paste & put inside the grip & leave it to dry 5.Energy gel Have any of you tried this ?, & what works best ?

  17. Sorry to hear about your marriage problems but you are posting on the wrong forum. Your hubbys wondering eye has got nothing to do with the hub' date=' My husband has posted and looked at the girls on girls with bicycle thread and I have never had a problem with it. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I trust him, but when we got married he did not stop being a man and I did not stop being a woman I find loads of other men attractive but I only love my husband and he only loves me. But we are both secure people, secure on our own and secure in our marriage. You should not look at the Hub as the problem but rather ask yourself why you are so insecure. [/quote'] & the plot thickens - "cue JAWS THEME TUNE"
