  1. background looks awesome, where is this place that youve taken the photo. Sometimes as they say old schools cool & if it works for you then who is anyone else to say anything
  2. some more show 'n tell ?
  3. wasnt me, but is the bike okay ?
  4. ag yinne - not again what is wrong these 7&*^$# motorists
  5. id say your frame is too large for you You are correct in saying that there needs to be a gap inbetween said area & top tube ( dont think it should be quite 2 inches though but there needs to be a gap ). I would if i were you take the bike back & insist that you want a medium size & unfortuntaly you will probaly have to wait until they get stock in again Problem is the cycle store probaly wanted to get the bike sold so the cycle store staff will say anything to you & make it sound legit that you actually need that specific frame size. Thing is....... you are the one thats going to be uncomfortable & not riding to your true potential due to incorrect bike sizing just my 2 zim dollas
  6. uuuuuuummmmmmm no thanks........ Id rather support the epic thank you very much. Good luck to you & your partner on the Epic. Hope you guys have a good one
  7. c'mon people post your MTB's I wanna see 'em
  8. this is just my opinion I find it extremely ugly & im very much a ferrari fan.
  9. call me a spanner monkey, grease ball, backyard split arse mechanic or whatever you like at events Aint NOOOOOOOO way someone is even coming near my bike. Either i do it or im out the race if its terminal. Im so perdantic about my bike, it even gets preference over the new car which cost me double the money & plenty more. At least i know if something is not working 100% i know where to look. I know some people really couldnt be bothered about doing it themselves & you what..... Thats fine!!!. If you feel thats what you want to do ie: have a cold one with mates after the race while your bike is being taken care of then thats cool bananas. Buuuuut what would grind me. Pay a hell of a lot of money for the treatment you should expect & you get 2nd hand service - Shocking to say the least & shame on them.
  10. oven cleaner ? very interesting Im still doing it very manual, clean green, nail brush & lotsa scrubbing name of said oven cleaner plz.......
  11. thats a good one
  12. nope you can use the same tubes - your tube will mould to the tyre not the other way round when you start inflating. So long as the tube is 26" then its fine. the tubes Width will be dependant on the tyre as you start inflatingBumpNgrind2010-03-05 07:42:19
  13. Not sure.....Got it in a mail but if i look at the date it was taken yesterday morning
  14. eish, i know that feeling & i sympathise fully with her. Youll see shel get back on the bike however dont expect it anytime soon. The initial fear 1st needs to disappear Hope she has very speedy recovery
  15. Well theres a few, not sure on prices though. 1. FPC in hatfield - I believe their services are pretty good, prices im not sure 2. Bester Cycles - ive come across a few people that i know that arent entirely too happy with their work, but i guess if you need a quick fix they are there 3. Bruce Reyneke - Nice servicing - Bit pricey though but i think you pay for what you get 4. Hot spot cycles - Im not even gonna go there with this conversation ( walked in there about 3 weeks ago to pick up a small part & a customer was blasting, like really blasting the employee about the lack of attention given to his very expensive Merida ) Its not the 1st time ive seen that happen either
  16. that spez is a beaut though, would love one but i think i need to wait till my ship rolls in

  20. seriously Justin' date=' would you ride around with satchel on your back that says dunflop ?, I somehow doubt it[/quote'] I suppose it goes like this:- 1) Can i put it on my back? 2) Does it hold water? 3) Can i put spares into it and maybe a goo or 3? 4) Do i care a toss what anyone thinks? if you answer yes to 1,2 and 3 and no to 4 then who really gives a monkeys? Leave the posing etc to the roadies - they ae so good at it that us MTBers don't stand a chance of being half as good. you have a very valid point there - i apologise Justin.
