well my order has gone missing, no sign of it anywhere. ive been told to wait until monday to see if it shows up somwhere along the line. my brand new XT crankset do you think CRC will send me another if it cant be found. they sitting with my money & i dont have anything BumpNgrind2010-06-10 05:27:32

so ive been trawling the hub but cant find exactly what im looking for Ordered a new crankset from CRC on the 21st of last month & still theres nothing. I decided to go with royal mail ( meaning i dont get a tracking no. ) as ive never ever had any issues in the past however i think the thieving trolls got a hold of it. Ive contacted the int mail centre in jet park but theres nothing reflecting under my name. Ive mailed CRC & a kind lady has advised that i should wait until monday to see if it surfaces... my question is this: what happens if it doesnt ? do they refund me ? do they send me another crankset ? who has had experience with undelivered parcels before or a similar scenario ?BumpNgrind2010-06-10 03:14:32

yeah i had my neighbour come over last night just to double check that im not overreacting as he has had a couple of cracked frames in his time & comes to the same conclusion. Very bad weld bead & i must take it in so wish me luck guys, hopefully commencal will honour my warranty claim. im so disapointed though as this frame for me is my alpha & omega. It fits me like no other, I love the pearl white color & it looks pretty neat too anyhow...... I guess things like these happen

well there is warranty but the new commencal frames dont look exaaaactly the same soooo...

i dont wanna be funny but i dont think youll be lucky - its hard stay positive with the wonderful people at SARS & our postal service who might feel the need to take something that doesnt belong to them i ordered a new crank on the 21.05.2010 & still nothing. its been nearly 3 weeks now

how do i know if my parcel is being held by customs & i dont have the tracking number. ( i did the royal mail option ) do they phone me ? is there something that comes in the post ?

The photo makes it look worse than it actually is but im scared that this might be a crack. Im not sure if its just the paint splitting but logic is telling me that paint doesnt just split in a hairline crack & would only do this due to metal fatigue. Or on the other hand i might just be chasing ghosts here & its nothing to worry about. This is my pride & joy & i most definately dont want anything else. im not complaining, ive been seeded in D on the 70km which is just about exactly where i should start, perhaps C wouldve been more spot on according to past performances but i think ( if its true ) that Mabalingwe counted then that would have brought me down due to my mechanical i had, so overall im pretty happy with where i am

even cheaper than that is the knog frog rear light that 1 little LED gives me freakin arc eye everytime i switch it on in the dark. bonus is its impossible to get it wet & trust me ive gotten it so mucked up with mud & stuff I bought mine from solomans for something like 75 bux or thereabout. just uses a normal 3 volt battery which is as easy to replace as falling out a tree & lasts forever. Ive had mine since last year & havent replaced the battery yet & its still going strong

according to all the info thats been sent out they said theyd have line entries on the morning ?, or at least thats the comminication ive been seeing Phone FPC perhaps at southdowns & hear from them if there will be entries on the morning, Just for safety id also just double check with adventurance as you might get a newbie answering the phone at the LBS that might give false info

I just wonder how sick in the head you have to be to actually wanna ride someone over purposefully. I cant even turnaround & say it was a taxi. You know i didnt want to complain & thought to keep it to myself but its been bothering me quite a bit & i need to vent Saturday morning round about 10h:30 ish im on my way back from doing a planned 85km ride from PTA east towards cullinan & back. On the donkerhoek gravel road ( which is about as wide as a 4 lane highway - no kidding ) theres this guy that comes towards me in a double cab hilux bakkie in the opposite direction with 3 other pretty staunch guys in the cab aswell. anyhow so im minding my own business just trying to get back & well on the left of the gravel road ( force of habit ) when this twit deceides to take the piss & comes for me & narrowly misses with that big ass silver mirror on the side of the car i thought of giving him the up-yours but with 3 others in the car i thought better of it. didnt feel like going home & please explaining to everyone. mind you i havent even told my wife otherwise she'll make me sell my bike & this is a MTB mind you.... supposed to be a bit safer not so ? haaa haaa.... anyhow i just think his such ( ill keep the name calling to myself because its way worse than what i can type here ) the wheel will turn & i hope he suffers BADLY so for those that ride that gravel road from the boschkop road towards donkerhoek. i used one side of small pruning shears for my chain wip. works lekker but pruning shears saw their gat looks somin like this but not quite, this is as close as its gonna get picher wise

well my method is a little more tedious but works 100% nail brush & clean green & scrub the chain. it takes time no doubt but i get a clean drive train & the end result is as any other - clean....
