  1. maybe its cause they 1st need to order it from CRC & then forward it onto you ?
  2. oh my how beautiful is this ? why are posting such indecent photos
  3. quite correct you are, my conti rk's are the same in width as maxxis Xmarks & ive measured them before so i know its gospel
  4. I need to ask a pretty good question & ive tried to find the answers but really dont give too much info on it 1. A while back i upgraded my cassette & chain from 8 speed to 9 speed. 2. Was told a 8 speed crankset would work fine & did for quite a long time & many kay's laters 3. Then the lion man came & from hard riding & chain skating it snapped but has been fixed & the chain when i look at alignment looks too far to the right almost rubbing on the middle chain ring 4. When changing down the chainring from middle to small chainring the chain skates on top of the teeth of the chainring now i assume that a 9 speed gap between small & middle chainrings are narrower than on an 8 speed ? am i correct in saying this ? I have bought a 9 speed crank to allieviate that problem & hopefully will work otherwise im going to be rather peeved off for spending money unnecassarily are the tollerances so much that it would make such a major difference between 8 spd & 9 spd cranksets ? can someone with technical knowledge about this help out & perhaps if you know where i can find some reading material on the subject then that would be greatBumpNgrind2010-05-28 06:09:57
  5. no they wont hold it youll pay the clearing fee's & the PO fee. Strange though ive never been charged the post office fee but im not going to say anything. Thats their saak if they not clued up enough behind the counter Generally you take your ZAR price you paid for your goods + 10% ( clearing fee ) x 14% (vat) & youll come out to an estimate of what you will pay at the post office to collect your goods I have lately been paying less than that but according to another hubber NQALA24 who i assume works in that industry has given those guidlines to work according to clothing will be a whole different ball game, but check all the other threads on CRC orders. Youll be trawling for quite a while. Theres a wealth of knowledge on it
  6. this is what i thought I weigh next to nothing, not my fault. My metabolism just seems to work in overdrive so i stop just as fast any other however if you put your finger abt a 1-2mm away from the disc you hardly feel any heat come off mine but on an average weight rider of about 70 - 85kg's 1-2mm away from the disc & the heat is burning your finger
  7. sis, i know im not part of the solution here but that is funny
  8. this has not been answered yet with good answers Tech guy ? JB ? can you guys give a better explanation perhaps ?
  9. popcorn moment kidding.... i know nothing about duelis so i cant help here I have ridden my neighbours very beautiful spez epic but oh so above my budget bike. Have found it to drain me a little with the bobbing however the suspension was not set up for me. have to admit though its very nice - wouldnt mind one for myself but on the other hand i have to admit that i love my HT too & will in all liklihood get myself another sorry hijack over as im veering off point hereBumpNgrind2010-05-26 06:05:55
  10. couldnt agree more with what everyone is saying get a road bike if you want flat boring surfaces. Those that are complaining youll probaly find are fun riders & dont take riding all that seriously & probaly just do it to geta little excersize into their schedule This is why we bought MTB's not so ? I say keep the technical stuff most of us like it a lot have to admit though, soft sand & grass tufts arent cool at all esp on my HT. that can be done without on races imho but hey...... if thats the way it is then......take it in your stride
  11. yes & ive removed the pics cause look how this has ended up im not commenting any further on this subject, & I apologise to those i offended & klaar gelaag lets just end this silly nonsense, get on with posting other dribble & laugh about it.look at the cool goodies others have to sell & wish the bank account was a little larger. Hell if it upsets anyone so much that the pictures are gone, then go look at rotten.com. youll get plenty, plenty to look at I honestly didnt for one moment think it would offend others. In other words did without thinking, however i have apologised here & on the other thread so c'mon lets just let it go now honestly the photos didnt phase me, ive seen & experinced quite a bit worse in my life & when posting i had the same frame of mind for others. How wrong i was so......... i mean even listening to other complaints about really silly things is better than this. c'mon we dont carry on like this at home, so why here ?
  12. couldnt agree more & well said
  13. are you riding a sherman tank ? jokes aside, it is a little on the heavy side but in the 2nd breath i think itll be an awesome upgrade & well spent money im not to clued up on bianchi mtb frames but have to be honest that i havent heard anyone complain of them yet so i think compared to what you are riding now itll be a major upgrade go for it & ride the nonsense out of it also take into consideration if it has a lifetime warranty mine has one & trek has, not sure on other frames though
  14. cheaper prices perhaps ? im keen
  15. was asking the same question just now does someone know something that us other mere mortals dont ?
  16. hmmmm this is the strangest thing ive heard. I get my goods delivered at the PO Box & not once have they charged me the R25.00 handling fee. All they charge me for is the clearing fee Im not going to complain though. If its the useless person behind the counters fault then they are to blame. I did everything legal eagle
  17. it is shieeeeet loads of fun isnt it. pity one cant do it by yourself & just go out & have some fun & enjoy your bike like a kid that would be a no brainer & i dont think it just remains in sunny SA. I think riding at night on your lonesome anywhere on the globe is pretty much a no no & looking for trouble group rides it is then & still has too much fun to be had. cant get enough of it
  18. taurus comes to mind & there are a few others
  19. For those that saw it, saw it & for those that didnt. itll probaly pass through your mail box at some time or another during the course of the day my picture post is deleted
  20. fine - i see i stirred here a bit by posting the pics do i then remove the pics or do they stay lemme know ppl
