  14. I used to love Northern farm & after going to ride there a couple of times beginning last year seeing all the rif raf walking around freely there with no care in the world red alarm bells rang in my head, saying to myself that this is just an invite for danger. I now dont go there unless there is a race on. Simply put people, we are even being rid of places to ride our bikes - best part is its humanly powered. not even an engine between the legs. im beginning to actually find it hysterical how out of control everything is. Im my own power, there is nothing i can do but when there is power in numbers like they like doing then something can be done but unless we all get off our butts & do something about it as a group - all will stay the same. Sorry to say this people, but us whites are rather slapgat when it comes doing something, yes there are those that try make a difference but when it comes down to the hardcore we just sit back including me saying - SOMONE ELSE WILL DO IT, & IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN TO ME just my 2c for today - have a good day all
  15. well i dont have a carbon steerer so that is why i stumbled across the gussett bolt as above which just seems like a brilliant idea since its starting to clamp from the bottom & tightening with equal pressure on top & bottom Basically its a vice for your headsetkeeping everything together It will work on my bike The star flange nut just seems disasterous after seeing this invention
  16. ive found this, how effective do you think itll be ? looks a hell of a lot sturdier than those stoopid flanged nuts
  17. Please tell me this is freely available. * Reason i need this is due to cutting the steerer tube shorter, * then i hammered the flanged nut to far down by accident resulting in having to moer it all the way down the steerer tube & re-inserting it through the top. * this then resulted in the flanges having to be bent back a little to fit snuggly into the steerer tube * when tightening some of the flanges actually snapped off & thus resulting in a loose headset I now need a new one & approximately what you think ill be paying for this
  18. hmmmm. im a spez fan in a big way, but this just dont do it for me the geometry looks arb on the big tractor wheels sorry im not much a fan of 29ers but this just looks too strange for anything if on the other hand it had 26ers on it would look a whole lot better but thats just me...

  20. did happen exactly the same to me about 3 weeks ago ended up being a bit expensive, had the original nylon pulley wheels but were worn badly so i decided to get some good derailer pulley wheels ( KCNC ) but also skipped a lot bought new chain & voila skipping stopped immedeatly hope this helps
  21. that looks severly fun ENJOY.......
  22. precisly ( spelling ) the reason why i dont like hydraulic system brakes It eventually starts squeeking driving everyone & myself absolutely dilly. Ive since "downgraded" to mech discs. The pads retract when i let go of the lever, they stop me just as well as hydraulic discs. Best of all is they are low or rather almost no maintenance This is just my opinion, hydraulic works really well on cars, motorbikes etc. due to wheels turning at higher speeds than bicycles hence very little squeeling MTB on the other hand is slower than that & inveriably the inevitable squeeling comes about after a while unless your diligent enough to sand the pad down every so often to take glazing off I wont go back to hydraulic but thats just me, other will probably nail me for this but a great set of mech disc brakes = very low - no maintenance except pad changes
