  1. I've built up a set of 29er wheels with Hope pro2 hubs and ZTR 355 rims - ge=reat balance between weight and reliability IMO.... ZTR also do a slightly heavier Flow rim which is highly rated if you looking for someting slightly more robust.
  2. I've been running a 10 speed Campag Chrous Carbon crank (with origional 10 speed blades) on my training bike for over a year. Must have done at least 10 000kms and no issues at all. I upgraded my Hollowgram blades on my race bike with 11 speed specific chainrings (at great expense), and there is no difference. Don't waste your cash (or read too much into the marketing talk on the Campag website when it comes to technical issues like this - they are conflicted in this type of advise as they need to sell you the 11 speed technology) on new blades, just ride the 10 speeders...
  3. I purchased a Powertap Pro hub which had a Shimane body, i purchased a Campag body and changed it in 3 minutes... very easy.
  4. If I were you I would ask Johan Bornman (YelloSsaddle) to build them - he does great work and his wheels and advice (as above) are alays sound.

Great Bike. What price does a frame like that retail for?
  6. I Know that there are no seal kits available to the public for Shimano brake systems, but any idea on what lubrication (grease or otherwise) would be safe to use on the brake pistons? It is quite common for one of the pistons to be 'tighter' than the other causing the two pads to move differently. If you take the brakes to the Shimano agents for servicing, they seem to use some lubricant (seems like a wax based product?) on the pistons which results in the pistons moving freely again without damagng the seals - any ideas? 7. I have 2 x Scott Scale Carbon's - one weighs in at 985g and the other at 1005g
  8. I'm looking for the same manual - also could not find it on the RS website, and idead on where we can get it?
  9. This looks like a tech thread that Johan Bornman could add considerable value... Johan?
  10. Thats very unusual - I've just checked my order history and over the past 3,5 years I have had 14 orders delivered - all were over the minimim qualification for free shipping so paid nothing. Only once was something left out, and I was refunded immediately without having to query it. much cheaper, better selection, customer reviews available - so there really is no catch. The local industry 'wholesalers' hardly offer after sales service anyway. everytime I've needed a spare part ended up waiting six weeks because the local wholesaler didn;t have stock - and they call themselves wholesalers.....
  11. Cycle art charge about R1700 for a single colour scheme like that, but dependant on the detail.
  12. The only point LA made today is that he will never bow down to another team leader..... quite sad because he is no longer the strongest rider in the team and is going to jepordise the teams chances of success to feul his own ego. Nice for Astana's rivals to see the team divided, now they only have to race a split team. It is definately going to be an interesting tour given this development, would have been a bit one sided if Astana all rode for Contador.
  13. Pics, Pics, Pics.... Cant wait to see. Thats a light bike, your cycling buddies must be very jelous!
  14. Interesting, at the risk of asking a personal question.... what do you weigh?(it just makes the power data more relative).
  15. Must have been a long drive from the Western Cape?
  16. MY CRC order arrives next week, always a rush opening the parcel.... they got some great specials on at the moment.
