    The variety of the trails at (super flippen )FUN Gaalens is huge... so much of everything! Every ride is something special... but TODAY!! ... today was something else!!! I've been riding there for the last 8 years and today was one of the best I've had there. #singletrackfordays the entrance pre sunrise

    Got myself a set of these.... Sent them off to Bogus who did this (by "did this" I obviously mean made some magic) now I have this....

    After a hockey filled week... it was once again proven that mountain biking is the best sport there is ESPECIALLY!!! here at FUN Gaalens... these taken halfway through the Donga trail, just before the wave runner great morning out ...

    The last time I went to the PWC Bike Park ( think it was still called the MTN Bike Park then) was about 5 years ago.. just haven't been interested... but some mates have been spending a fair bit of time there with their boys lately and have been raving about the place, so I caved and decided to try it out again.....WOW!!! what a change!! SO much of concentrated fun!! Trails have awesome flow .. jumps and drop offs FUN FUN FUN !!! Took what felt like a billion pics.. here're a couple. I didn't do all the pic taking ... managed to get of me too and this one..... my fav of the day...(super chuffed with this one)

    Another spin through Hero @ Hobby Park on my way to work this morning.... I LOVE this place more and more all the time... It's no Van Gaalens (My favourite) but boy oh boy it makes me happy!! Looking east from the top of the ridge ... Sandton in the distance a pic (or pics )from from top of the ridge is almost obligatory for me when riding here

    There are prettier places in this country than Jozi.... but we do have quite a few little gems scattered all over the show... I'm lucky to have one as my "doorstep" a beautiful morning at Hero @ Hobby Park

    We, the folk up here in the Big Smoke, have been very fortunate so far this winter... It's been a rather mild one...(hope I'm not jinxing it now ) So early morning starts haven't been that bad... -1 to start at FUN Gaalens this morning but by 7:30 a balmy 6 degrees.... (with no wind at all) as always...SUPER FUN!!

    Commuted to work this morning ...then treated myself by conveniently passing through Hobby Park on my way home Loads of amazing work's been done on the trails all the time... new additions and bridges, including a new 100m (I think) long floating bridge.     Baby duty kept me busy till early/late this morning, almost didn't ride.. but needed my fix (unintentional pun I promise) so popped down for a quick Cradle (road this week) spin this morning... it was so clear compared to last week.. (Jozi and Sandton in the distance)

    That's cheap! can't find for under R1500 (5ml) and haven't seen Intragam (the generic) in over a year. it was always less than a third of the price. I'm trying extra hard to not get sick, my little guy's almost 3 months now and don't want to a) possibly make him sick b) not be able to get my daily cuddles

    it's the perfect time to ride it, before the rainy season starts.. that descent especially gets reallly tricky once lubricated

    I was tossing up between an Ambush and a Tactic, glad I listened to hubbers' advice https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/155466-mirror-mirror-on-the-wall-which-will-be-and-look-best-if-i-fall/ and took the plunge on the Ambush... fantastic helmet!! Can't fault it in anyway. it's so comfy I don't even know it's there.... Splat... get it!
