  1. Thanks Edge
  2. Hero @ Hobby Park "There is nothing, absolutely nothing, quite so worthwhile as simply messing about on bicycles"
  3. with my statuesque 5.4 frame not only did I not ride the bales. I could barely get on the one I'm standing on
  4. Saturday Shenanigans at VG...
  5. Buffelsdrift on this scorching morning, Polar had a reading of 34 degrees at 8:30 Don't let the pic of this little oasis fool you though, it's VERY dry there Great morning out, super fast and flowy trails
  6. the Evo comes in a couple of colours, don't recall seeing anything bright though. The Vario (photochromic) I've only seen in this black and an clear opaque frame.
  7. I have a bit of an addiction for Adidas eyewear, so was super chuffed when they EVENTUALLY launched their own photochromic lens... I REALLY tried to not give in.... but, gladly, failed.
  8. When at Hobby Park, a visit to (and photo from) the top of the ridge is like a tradition... the view never changes.... it's always incredible! Huge hailstorm out this way last night, but luckily no damage here.. just a bit of mud. The Red route seems to have been revamped.... so much fun.. an awesome ride!
  9. If you have the same experience as I did (I fitted a set of Spanks, 31.5mm inner to my Camber), you won't believe the difference those few extra mm's are going to make!
  10. Said mate recently discovered iMovie, he put this together from today (he's super bummed he missed me leaving multiple epidermal layers on the trail)
  11. My favourite bike at my favourite place.... despite how dry things are ,my mate still managed a tiny splash through this crossing
  12. Thanks Slowbee This better?
  13. The Cradle.... before the "pre-94.7 cramming" masses arrived ... and then a rare coffee stop before said masses occupy the place ...
  14. Summer is fantastic!! less layers and early sunrises! Quick spin to Hero at Hobby Park (including the compulsory climb to ridge and obligatory photo ) before work made for a good start to the day
  15. Aaaahhhhh! that's what I was wondering... and yip... the riding there is magical!
  16. 3 Towers on the In Bred?
  17. As part of my ride, did a new route (well, new to me) at FUN Gaalens on this scorcher of a morning... It's an alternative to coming down from the Greek Church the regular, also very FUN, way... But this section ... WOW!!!!!!!!! soooooooo good!! Problem is it might not always be open to riders It's on a game farm that's being fenced off and the landowners more than likely won't allow riders on BUT... there's still hope and it's still there to be ridden for now, so i'll be making good use of it in the weeks to come Pics don't do it justice though. If you're able to ride at VG, I HIGHLY recommend this route!
  18. Went Meh-rendal based on advise for it being a good spot for my missus and 5 month old to chill while I grabbed a quick ride, was I glad I did..those views are amazing! but cut the ride short as I felt super guilty leaving the two of them alone on OUR first family holiday... so my plan of going to do Hoogekraal and Contermans later in the week was discarded. no regrets, at all.. got to see so much of my amazing little guy, being with him 24/7 has made being back at work today the worst "back at work after holiday blues" day ever.
  19. Top of Dorstberg at Meerendal last week Sunday. Sjoe .... Lots of fun... The Mothercity was showing off big time... amazing weather
  20. Kaapstad jou mooi ding!! My awesome lbs arranged a loan bike for me from their sister branch... Took it for a sunset cruise last week Saturday along the beach in Blouberg after getting it
