  1. We, my little family and I, have a new house guest.... Tyler........that's keeping us all rather busy .. Well, it's more his almost 2 year old brother Logan that's keeping ME very busy as his mom's busy looking after Tyler (he thinks all bikes can be ridden like his dad's bigger one apparently) So my riding for now is rather limited. Being fortunate enough to a) have Hero Adventures at Hobby Park on my doorstep b) have this amazing bike I do I blitzed a half hour detour through Hobby on my commute to work on Saturday This bike ate this all up and spat it out...at pace... without flinching
  2. This.. https://www.specialized.com/za/en/ambush/p/132391?color=219123-132391 You won't even know it's there https://www.mtb-mag.com/en/tested-specialized-ambush-enduro-helmet/ https://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/category/helmets-and-protection/helmet-standard/product/review-specialized-ambush-15-49708/
  3. Back to the Cradle yesterday to take my little guy out for his first ride there
  4. Thanks for the help everyone, I got the Feva seat last week and it does the trick Took Logan for a spin on the Cradle route Yesterday.
  5. Not quite With new Baby being due in a week from tomorrow, even though VG isn’t far, I prefer to be closer.
  6. The Cradle..... I've always been a fan of the MTB "Loop" but these improvements are just WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! and the "loop" will become an actual loop So much work and effort gone and going into the trails. To the existing trails and the new ones to come. Super excited and privileged to have these on my doorstep Had to fight off the love, hugs, kisses and smiles from the triathletes as usual.
  7. Valentines Schmalentines But I'll jump on the bandwagon and Share where my Love took me today Tunnel of Love.......(Avianto)
  8. Sjoe! I've never spent so little time on the hub as the last 2 months or so... so a little catch on #WHMBTMT Avianto weekend before this last one Then I conveniently took a diversion through Hobby Park on my way to work on Saturday
  9. I wish I could. Nothing will ever be as awesome as SSWC2012, but something tells me this will be right up there!
  10. I need a kiddies carrier/seat for my bike for my toddler. I've got a weeride and it won't work, I was hoping to get the Thule RideAlong, but it won't work either unless I change my fork (which isn't going to happen) Anyone had any experience with the Feva Star Seat? or any other suggestions?
  11. Thanks BSG It's SO MUCH FUN!! lucky AF to be in the position I am. I get to keep it for the year
  12. Been a while since sharing where I've been.. So, my last two rides.. (At FUN Gaalen obviously ) Last week:- #NewBikeDay Then yesterday:- got stormed on for an hour, after 20 mins into the ride. ALso got to give to revised baboon trail a bash (HIGHLY recommended)... loads of fun!! (this, just prior to the storm)
  13. Yip, can't remember if they've got hot water or not, but if you're riding this weekend.... you won't need it. tomorrow and Sunday's forecast is a 37 degree high!!!
  14. After not being to Avianto for some time, I went this past weekend. Trails have been revised a bit and imo, for the better. I had an excellent ride.. great fun
  15. Ja Byron.. As typhoon said, that FLIPPEN AWESOME section is all disrupted now, thanks to the landowner barring access. Claimed reason, riders trespassing and riding where they shouldn't. Which confuses me as it's pretty much a stretch less than 1km along a fence that you can't veer off of. Anyway... IF , you'd like to sample it (not sure how much of it is still rideable) where you's "jump in at the bridge" you can head west instead of back east to VG, there's a water crossing (no bridge) and you'll eventually just have to double back as you can't complete it. It's such a pity, the River used to be 10kms long out, but it's about 6km, last almost 4kms is "lost" because of this tiny last section being closed off
  16. Belated post of my Christmas ride at FUN Gaalen.. Took an old friend(that I met through the hub), his mates and a VERY old friend ( that I haven't seen in over 20 years) on a VG show around. Needless to say it was face stretching smiles all round!! Jan still opposed to the use of gears It was Christmas after all
  17. done Thanks for suggestion Looks like or close to the Revenge descent?
