  1. As many others here... I have no idea idea what to say.. I'll take out my fixie and ride to local, something... bar, barber, cafe, intead. RiP Barry and condolences to the Mccallums...
  2. That's ok.. with the amount of people who don't stick to the lane in the Cradle, one might think it's the norm.. so maybe no one will even notice
  3. More Road'ing through the Cradle this morning (which was crazy busy again) I'm looking forward to this "August" business being over next after next weekend so we can resume hitting the trails (if the rain allows us ) (PS the riders were out the lane for a few secs so I could take the pic, I'd checked there were no cars.. )
  4. So much of awesome!!
  5. Thanks DJR Thanks Anything....Yip.. we share a mutual love there Thanks LOOK... Um, don't get to used to seeing too many of them ... The trails call me louder than tar does...but I'll try
  6. The rain... it's what we've been speaking about a lot lately... because a)we're grateful b)need to plan rides around it This week we had A LOT (and it's just started bucketing again while I tap these keys) (Up here the Vaal Dam is supposed to reach 100% by the end of the weekend, with a flood risk to surrounding properties, while you guys down in WC are almost out of water .. I hope it rains soon for you guys) So, because of how wet it's been, trails were avoided, tar it was and we chased lycra in the Cradle this morning.. we got snippets of sun here and there, but mostly overcast with a a light sprinkle... I also got to play with my new GoPro a bit
  7. Sjoe! All the best Barry thinking of you and your family
  8. One and the same #accidentprone "BrambleGeorge"
  9. I know we need the rain but what a pleasure it was to ride in ZERO mud today! Trails were/are so flippen fast, even though the ride ended in near drama (tears of laughter and maybe even a little wee instead) FUN Gaalens delivered the goods properly today!! Nice to see this strange thing called the sun for a change... Went to church to say thanks for sunshine Then ... when crossing a hanging bridge, one should cease to "race" and go one at a time.. otherwise a trampoline effect occurs One mate almost got bounced off but luckily got entangled in the ropes instead. the immediate reaction of the rider and apparent friend behind... take a photo... then help while an anonymous third party takes a photo of the photo taking
  10. Thanks 'Dale
  11. FUN Gaalens..... this is a long stetch of flowing ST before heading up to the church
  12. what he said! I've only had mine for 2 weeks now so it's all still new to me, but it flippen flies down hills eating up pretty anything you can throw at it and it climbs a mountain goat
  13. it's a hellava climb too
  14. Dragon's Peak trails on Tuesday... didn't ride long or far.. (limited time and a troop of baboons scared the poo out of me ) but I got to see this view 3km in ( almost 200m squeezed into this short climb )
  15. When you plan a ride and it starts pissing, but you want to stick it out and your mates don't bail on you... that's bromance... quick local pedal near Hobby Park before, during and after sunrise this morning
  16. So mooi!!!
  17. Jip Stoke level *through the roof atmosphere* I'm one very fortunate guy
  18. Some days the nail... others the hammer... Today,I made up for being the nail last week... hammered the "smiling so much my cheeks hurt" trails properly at (very) FUN Gaalens this morning. For a change, almost no rain this week, made for perfect trails conditions... No mud, just fast, packed, flowing ST Nice to see some blue sky for a change
  19. That's ok.. I saw it.. the CIA showed me.
  20. Seems like I'm having Christmas in January.... Karma's still shining her light brightly on me...
  21. Where did you guys land up riding?
  22. Stunning pics Brandon
  23. Another wet weekend at FUN Gaalens..... but as always great fun. Was sceptical about taking my new addition out only to be wrecked by mud... but I was itching so badly I hoped the tiny bits of sun we had yesterday would help..... and it (sort of) did. Trails weren't bad at all but then caught in a huge downpour just after this was taken, fortunately it wasn't too bad, mud wise ... just very wet..
  24. So..... this happened today..... Somehow, somewhere I must've done some really good things in my life for karma to shine down on me this way Picked up this stunning beast today... SOOOOO stoked!
