  1. You cannot claim to have the moral high road whilst using the same tactics...
  2. Morally I agree with you The thing is, USADA had to apply a different set of rules to get to this conclusion. By doing this they have placed their moral standing on shaky ground. Their legal process only pertains to the sport of cycling, and whilst everybody is threatening to sue for sponsorship money and prize money to be returned, it will be far harder to get a justice system to feel satisfied that the evidence is conclusive. Had USADA applied the same rules to everyone and the same conclusion is reached then there would be no question mark over their methodology. The texas judge only ruled that USADA were within their own procedural rights to proceed, not whether there was sufficient evidence of doping. You cannot break your own moral code to reveal immorality, and then claim to stand on the other side untarnished. The compromise they chose will come back to haunt them in future. The impact on the UCI and WADA could irreparable and from a anti-doping point of view could put the sport in a far worse situation than when LA was chief of the doping ring. Some clever legal eagles will use this to find loopholes for their future doping client. Contador has a marginal case to claim back his TdF victory, because by implication the Anti-drug movement is corrupt...just an example.
  3. When my chain started jumping I took it to the LBS and R 35 later it was properly adjusted and has not jumped in any of my rides the last three years. The bike had done about 500 km easy km's from brand new, so nothing was worn. TiBones has hit the nail on the head.
  4. The sports law experts seem to have an issue with the process followed by USADA. This is them looking at it from legal perspective. http://bicycling.com/blogs/dailylance/2012/11/01/armstrong-ban-flouted-anti-doping-law-experts/ Some expert and professors saying that the impact of not sticking to the 8 - year statute of limitation can damage both their and WADA's credibility. They are NOT defending LA!!! (for those who like to personally insult anybody the questions the process)
  5. So, now that you are so smooth you slide uphill you think you be so fast that greased owl sh*t has nuttin on you?
  6. The main issue is not the fact that your car is fixed with pirate part. The repairers quote on the price of brand new original parts. I had a panel beater strip my car after repair and fix it with the parts he quoted the insurance. It started like this: I see that the headlight is a no-name Japanese brand? Him: Yes, but it is just as good. Me: Your quote specifies a Hella? Him: I know, but this is just as good. Me: Where is the invoice for the Japanese no-name? He produces the invoice, showing the jap to be R280, where the Hella he quoted on was R1380 including his mark-up (yes, they put a mark-up on top of the parts they are not going to supply). No wonder insurance companies are being bled dry....and why they will only use certain repair shops. I then demanded he replace all the parts, and show me the invoices. He bitched and threatened until the insurer phoned him with the same demand. His response to me a while later was that I robbed him of making money. My question is this... He is charging labor for everything including fitting and stripping parts, and he is putting a mark-up on the parts, so he is making money.

  14. Also did this on five day walks in the Drakensberg....blister would be dry by the morning, and not cause any discomfort at all. I normally got blisters on the first or second day of the walks. You should be sorted by saturday for sure. Just be prepared for some 20 second of serious burn, but that is it. Nothing after that
  15. Ja...I would rather get one of those already over-priced steeds from ASG...
  16. In all seriousness....no way I would buy a bike designed by a guy known for his handbags.....
  17. At that price that water-bottle better turn everything inside it to single malt
  18. I think they are much of a muchness...the groupsets sometimes make a difference. I have a Merida Road 901 and a Merida Scultura carbon.....I found Merida to be god value for money, but don't throw away the Silverback range either.
  19. Does it have a growing nose? Might be the only way to catch dopers
