  2. And in the end the attempt to be super cool and different has caused them all to look the same again
  3. If I have to go to a public place I have a very light pair of baggies I put in my shirt pocket that I slip on. I don't want to get sued for any unfortunate divorces
  4. Agree on black shorts for the the same practical reason My white bar tape is also going very soon I not only have a mini pump, but a saddle bag on both my MTB and roadbike. I have yet to use the tube or bombs inside for my own needs, but I have met countless image conscious dipsh*ts who refuse to carry spares. They often come on here bitching about people not caring and leaving them on the trails when they break down
  5. This is funny https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSYbTimgvqY

  8. I blame all the infighting and whinging on the trails for this
  9. Local coffee shop is stocking Bialetti.....4 cup going for about R350. Was too busy staring to remember the prices. The 10 cup was around R700. They also have the frothers as well, and they sell a very fine fresh roast They don't allow me there without supervision because apparently they need to clean the display windows afterwards...three times a day
  10. I have LedLenzer and Maglite....in short, I am not sure where the maglite is in the house....I just don't use it anymore. Ledlenzer is my goto torch/bike light. One thing, I should have taken the one that uses AA batteries, not AAA, but then, it is smaller
  11. He also got stung on the lip by a bee on the start line of the TOC Time Trial....he ate the bee in retribution
  12. Once the rust is removed get a tin of Tectyl spray, it will slow down the rust, but will look a bit discolored. You will not be able to stop the rust from returning. Stainless bolts are a solution.

  15. Ok, so assuming the use around 30 g of grind per pod the price difference is marginal (300g per box, or R 165 for three boxes totaling 00 g) Difference is that you are not stuck with the same blend. I would say this, Nespresso makes 90% perfect coffee 100% of the time, where as manually after some practice you will get perfect coffee all the time. The win lies in the effort, or lack thereof with a Nespresso machine
  16. As opposed to buying 1 kg of my favorite coffee from a local roaster.. And it costs R 180 for 1 kg How much would 1 kg of pods work out to?
  17. I have the Alite 1000, and it is no comparison in terms of equipment to the Alite 2000. My LBS also has a new Alite 2000 for R 5800, and I want it bad.
  18. Therein lies the rub.... There are two coffee shops in Jbay that have barristas that I like, the one was best barrista in EC a few years back, and she trained the other. I mentally prepare myself for bad coffee if I go anywhere else, or I drink tea. The biggest issue I have found is that they draw the coffee for too long.
  19. The Rohloff hub has 18 internal gears, so essentially you have a singlespeed setup with a special hub.
  20. I was actually thinking that the plastic bits that allow the movement might be the weak point, but at the same time, it is probably quite a bit lighter than a Thudbuster. The fact that it moves might reduce the amount of saddle sores people get....
  21. PM Carpet....she knows a trail to Harties.
  22. BioFloat bicycle seatpost lets the seat move with the rider http://www.gizmag.com/biofloat-bicycle-seatpost/25181/
  23. I took of a 130 mm stem and put on a 60mm stem, no more back and neck pain.
