  1. Anthem. No doubt.
  2. Anthem. Hands down. I have just bought one, and I can assure you, that Maestro suspension is everything they say it is. It is flawless. I used to own a scalpel, and it spent more time in the workshop sorting that Lefty out, than out on the trail.
  3. R.I.P. Basil. A true pioneer in South African cycling. Bought numerous bikes from him. All Alpina and Zini.
  4. Must say that I have been a Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen fanboy for the longest time, up until I heard the commentary from Daniel Lloyd and Carlton Kirby. Informative, Interesting, and helluva exciting. Big ups. I must also add that I am not much of a fan of Matthew Keenan, clued up as he is, just doesn't have the voice for it IMHO... If it has been mentioned before, then apologies...
  5. The swim puts me off this event. Trained a lot in the pool for last years event, only to keep swimming into people that had chosen to walk the swim. Bike route is fairly tough, but enjoyable, and the run is hot and flat through the campsites. All in all, a well organised event, albeit a little expensive.

  7. They are not available just yet, but should have the first samples in a few weeks time. Just trying to get an idea as to what people like/want. Also trying to source a decent silkscreen/shirt supplier. Will update as and when. Thanks for all the feedback, peepz.
  8. Pick a shirt, any shirt. Just want to get an idea of what would be the most popular design...
  9. And sets up a nice case of whodunnit now... Hmmm. Love this series.
  10. Yursssy!! Anybody watched the latest episode of Game of Thrones (season 4 episode 2?) yet. Where does the season go from here?! Episode 2 and already one of the best of the entire series.

Spartacus... Yussy, what an absolute machine... Great day of racing. Roll on Roubaix
  12. Blimey, this thread normally only raises it's head around August. Only seeding events I know are Argus, Amashova & Tour Durban
  13. Hahaha. My daughter does gymnastics, and this tape on the floor helps her with her beam routine. (Basically she has to do a backward walkover keeping her hands and feet in line on the tape.) Hope that makes sense?? Edit:Spelling
  14. Bean. My little pug. Great little guy.
  15. Tubulars are fantastic! (if you have a team car with wheels galore on the roof with team mechanics at your beck and call.) But if you don't, (and I'm hazarding a guess that you don't), buy clinchers. I often hear how tubulars have less rolling resistance, and how great they feel, but for me standing on the side of the road holding my tubular wheel while the clincher crew ride by, is not my idea of fun. Buy clinchers.
  16. Far less people in there, making it seem like you could swing a canary. In it's cage.
  17. Only had good experiences in the past. If there is one small complaint, it's that the shop just gets too busy on a Saturday, and you wait a long time to get attended to. They could do with a bit of an expansion IMO. But otherwise nothing wrong with the workshop, had several services there...
  18. The Colnago gets my vote...
  19. Which is the better wheel? They are within R1000 of each other, and the word Mavic would normally sway my vote, but the Easton looks so much better (cosmetics, I know). General consensus?

  21. Didn't look to good as I went past, 2 ambulances and a fire engine. Hope you are OK, bud.
  22. Nice bike, but I am focusing purely on a 29er.
  23. I saw a Scott Spark 950 at Westdene for R22k. Looks helluva nice too. Is this in the Giants league, or not really? Fox suspension front and back, XT rear mech, Deore brakes.
  24. Thanks for the feedback. Seems there is only one bike in the mix. Agree that it is an awesome bike.
