  1. Pedal assist is very different to turning a throttle and going. The Giant also stops assisting once the rider reaches 25 KPH. I'd love the option of a capable e-bike to "shuttle" when such assistance isn't available. Could get many more runs at the steep trails. There are many practical applications for sensible pedal assist bikes without needing to ban them from trails. You really have to hop on one to understand. It's feels like a bicycle and nothing like a motor bike.
  2. First Look Friday is an introduction to the products that we are currently testing for review. This week we're previewing the Giant Dirt-E ebike, Specialized's Ambush trail helmet, and a Fabric Line saddle. Click here to view the article
  3. Thanks for answering my many questions, Deon. From what you've said (should an early access arrangement be made) other mountain users will likely remain excluded from accessing Tokai? Assuming they aren't currently undergoing the same process. I don't want to be in that meeting
  4. Are other mountain user groups also currently jumping through the same hoops or will they piggyback on Amarider's indemnity or not be allowed access? Or is it just mountain bikers that require indemnity?
  5. Has the longer route changed from last year? I don't know the area well enough to figure it out on the route map.

  7. The winner of the Fox ASCENT PRO bib and jersey is Dominik Dimatellis.
  8. I'm also struggling with constant buffering. Thought it was just my phone connection. EDIT: Seems a bit better for now.
  9. The pictures are of the Carbon 3 and 4.
  10. The local distributor reckons that the Scalpel-Si Carbon 3 and 4 (pictured in the article) as well as the alloy models will be their best sellers.
  11. After hearing many mumblings about a new Cannondale and then spotting an unbranded prototype at the Absa Cape Epic, it was clear that there was a new bike coming soon. And here it is, introducing the all-new Cannondale Scalpel-Si. Click here to view the article

  15. Thanks for checking. Good news for rim upgrades/replacements.
  16. Not sure. You can check all the specifications for the new products on the NoTubes website.
  17. Sorry for the wait. I'll draw and announce the winner this afternoon.
  18. Sorry, should have asked Two Wheels Trading (the local distributor) sooner. The new rims and wheelsets will start arriving from July onwards. Initial supply will be limited as Stan’s NoTubes increase their stock levels in the USA. Pricing will be similar to current versions but R/$ fluctuations will play a bigger part.
  19. I'll ask Admin to give a quick comparison once he gets a chance to ride the Sesta. He is currently testing the Cube and has lots of experience on a Vipa.
  20. First Look Friday is an introduction to the products that we are currently testing for review. This week we're previewing the Silverback Sesta Pro and Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres. Click here to view the article
  21. Last year, Five Ten released the Kestrel clipless mountain bike shoe. The Kestrel is a departure from the skate shoe look Five Ten are known for. The minimalistic Kestrel was developed for enduro racers and all-mountain riders with a preference for efficient pedalling achieved using a carbon infused shank to make the stiffest shoe Five Ten have ever produced. 22. I had a really good time on the bike today. I was a bit disorganised and neglected to bring my usual spares. Two kind riders saved my day after the first stage by giving me a tube and lending me some levers. If you read Bike Hub, thank you again!
  23. First Look Friday is an introduction to the products that we are currently testing for review. This week we're previewing two German bikes, the Cube AMS 100 Race 29 and YT Capra CF Comp. Click here to view the article
  24. I'll probably have a Bike Hub t-shirt on should anyone want to say hello.
