  1. Dunno, I took two cokes at the finish. One at first table, finished it while walking through and another on a whim at the last table, so no issues there 🤷
  2. Stupid question... The number of tours on your race number= number already completed? I.e if my race number said "9" tours, I should have asked for a blue one?
  3. Camt you ask someone to tag you on their Strava ride?
  4. +1 on this experience with Garmin Dual and Tickr. Garmin screws either strip, or you overtighen and break off the little plastic thread thingy the screw goes into. Result is poor seal, water/sweat ingress and dead electronics at slme point. Tickr (x2) the clips on the battery lid breaks off easiely, same result, poor seal, moisture ingress and dead electronics eventually. Support from Wahoo under warranty is great though, replaced the unit x2 in a year, but I probably wont go this route again. I've taped over the battery compartment of my last replacement to try and keep water out and make sure it lasts as long as possible. #fingerscrossed
  5. So he'll have to do the solo twice?
  6. Ahhh, missed that. NOU praat jy. Ry terug deur die kloof die week tussenin.
  7. Ek dog julle moet julle title gaan verdedig. Of het jou partner jou teruggehou laas jaar? 😜
  8. Lost mine too on some trail somewhere. A bit of electrical tape over the battery gives me more peace of mind 😂
  9. Same. I've been conveniently avoiding the bathroom scale after December...will have to face reality soon 😖
  10. Suddenly became real
  11. Two of these before Friday. Year is off to a good start 😜
  12. Lack of waterpoints... luckily thats one thing Dryland has sorted. Ive never been able to fault their water points or the gees of the people manning them.
  13. Solank ons net saamstem dat dit 💩warm was 😄
  14. Maybe, but the rider is sitting in the same sun 😜
  15. 🧐🧐
  16. Going to be my first one. I must admit I'm quite nervous. Fitness being slightly undercooked doesnt help either. Still can't wait to see what everyone is talking about!
  17. I subscribe for the past few year(must say the Momentum subsidy makes it an easier decision) and you have admit they have added a lot of new features over the past few year. Maybe you dont use them all, but I feel like I'm getting more for the same price and I'm ok with that. (Recover and Fatmap apps, and the mobile map tool has improved a lot. Plus I find route suggestions based on heatmaps very useful when riding /running while on holiday).
  18. Cheapest with resistance change is wheel-on, like a Tacx Flow or Kickr Snap. Even cheaper is what I had throughout lockdown...giant dumb trainer with second hand stages powermeter, but no resistance simulation there. Good enough for workouts though. Even for the wheel-on options, I had an old wheel that I fitted with my kld cassettes and tyres...didnt feel like wearing down a new GPx000 on a trainer...especially st today's prices for tyres, so still had to change wheels. That said, it takes about 30seconds, and I did it the night before. But all said and done, seems like trainer prices have come down a bit and the lower end direct drives is now not much more than wheel on. Id go for that, especially id you can buy via Momentum Multiply or Discovery or something. Dedicated bike would be great, but honestly, switching wheels isnt as much of a pain.
  19. Has anyone tried the Marvel version of the Uswe-type backbacks? https://www.cyclelab.com/product/4004473-hydrpod-marvel-asset-hydration-pack-2l At R799 the price is appealing. I tried it on in store an it seemed quite nice. Less ventilation on straps and back than Uswe perhaps, but the way it fastens and adjusts seems the same
  20. Yep, a few I know of. Send your phone number and I'll add you. They are getting bit less regular now in holidays, but people are still posting
  21. DC = perfect start to Atta training?
  22. There's a thread on homemade nutrition on Trainerroad forum. Basically suger (1:1 glucose:fructose) and some salt, something for flavor (DrinkOPop?) My wallet finds this very attractive 😜 https://www.trainerroad.com/forum/t/diy-sports-powder-carb-drinks-please-share-your-recipe/75788/147
  23. What was the issue with the Wemmershoek road for Boland 100miler? Seemed manageable yesterday.
  24. Start was a f-up of note, but once we got rolling it was great. Luckily we planned to fall back and do a DC team ride anyway, so not that much hard done - hope the times are adjusted based on actual start 🤞. Enjoyed the new route, think its an improvement. @mikkelz, are you in Infinity? If so, thanks for being gracious and not interfering with our paceline. We really appreciated it
