  1. Great, thanks for the feedback. Now that I know my bike can handle 38T I dont have an excuse/reason for running something smaller any more. I guess I have be honest and admit that its my legs that can't do 38T...
  2. Maybe chat to a lbs...this might be the spec they have tested and officially support it, but in reality you may be able to get a 38 in there. Let me know if you do find out anything different to what I know
  3. I have the Cypher Pro and was told by Titan it can go to 36. 38 apparantly wont fit. Suspect it will be the same for the Ultimate.
  4. I've heard that the start for the half is going to move to the finish location, so no shuttle required Details on the website https://www.the36one.co.za/race-info-2/
  5. Thanks Lochner, will send to you directly
  6. Hi Titleist - or other Brackenfellers, My sister is looking for a beginner / easy regular group ride around Brackenfell. Do you know of any? MTB on Road / Gravel (so not the singletracks @ Botties....yet!), so I'd guess in the 20km/h avg range speed wise. Thanks J
  7. I dont understand all the negativity. People do get that no one is forcing you to enter the short, right? You dont like the idea, you just dont enter
  8. So perhaps you just dont enter this one then🤷‍♂️
  9. Awesome day out for our DC team. We planned to fall back to D, but ended up starting in E after a bit too relaxed commute from the parking 😄. Turned out to be a good thing, since we could ride our own race as a team pretty much the whole way. Even when we caught a few riders or groups, the riders were super courteous to not interfere with our paceline...to everyone that allowed the Yellow CMC/Chalk-Air team to ride our own race, we really appreciate it! Glad this one is back on the calendar. With this plus Boland 100Miler we now are 100% covered for DC prep 👌
  10. Super lekker event this.
  11. This was a lekker ride. Hard in the wind, but we had a lot of guys willing to work in B bunch, so actually a good 'team' effort. And back home early earn some points for an easy coffee rude tomorrow
  12. You can wave as you pass me. I suspect I'll be alone 😁
  13. Anyone know where to find results for this event?
  14. Same here in 1A. Wish we can ride as considerate as this in the dry 😂. Was great how predictable everyone rode. All and all, an awesome today out!
  15. So obviously rider 10506 hanging with 1A on his eBike today didn't get the email 😜. Not surprised though, but a bit irritating, since they communicated those rules a number of times
  16. Was about to say the same ????. Well done guys, you worked hard at the front of AL. Great event, something of everything. The best 100miler route Ive done...my 2c. Hope it stays on the calendar!
  17. ????thanks!
  18. Does anyone know where one can gee a gpx file of the route?
  19. Hi everyone, Cape Multisport Club cycling is doing a social road league from 4 October. It is free for anyone to join - the intention is just to add a bit of extra motivation and spice to the kind of rides we do anyway. We did this earlier the year and it was a lot of fun, so we are hosting a rerun in time for Double Century. The format: - 6 events over 6 weeks, starting 04 Oct - you have Mon-Thu to complete a specific Strava segment for each event (leaving weekends for the regular weekend rides ) - Individuals and teams can compete - Results are pulled from Strava once you link your account - We do a handicap-adjusted leaderboard / competition, so riders of all fitness levels can compete - This is in addition to the leaderboard / competition based on the original results - Teams of up to 10 rides...so you can also get your DC team together for some TTT training - 3rd rider's result to count All the details, routes, registration forms, etc are on cmc.commix.digital/road-league Thanks!
  20. Got a set of 711s, plus the inner bar ends (411?) for 36One. Worked very well. I swapped back to the ESI type grips for trails, but will put these on for the longer stuff again.
  21. Sorry, this is just pathetic. They have lost my respect. Normal 'admin fee' was in the order of R150. Per team change. Asking R620 per rider smacks of trying to profit from the situation. Dryland did it properly when they had to cancel Tankwa. I know which outfit I will support going forward
  22. I can also vouch for friendly service from Julien and his team.
  23. I though it was only me
  24. I rode both SCT and 99er in %. The white line issue was MUCH better in 99er,and I firmly believe it's all due to the quality of the marshalls. It was day and night. Yes, a few guys tried their luck, but was immediately put back on the right side of the road, with some reprimanding to go with it. The result was that people was less keen to take a chance, and if they did made sure they got back in line asap. There were a few places where this slowed things down a bit, but nothing major. The Marshall also did an excellent job in getting cars past the bunches, again a marked difference to SCT. I felt much safer in 99er. They relaxed the "discipline" a bit on the old Malmesbury road, but I think they made good judgement calls there ito the amount of traffic vs visibility down the road vs allowing cyclists a bit of leeway. Thumbs up from my side.
