  2. Quick Google search reveals this.
  3. Sheet is getting out of hand. Was this a UCI or even CSA sanctioned event? According to their website, it's described as an "endurance event". So, in my opinion, the only SA colours that could be worn was for the road discipline. According to https://rehook.bike/blogs/saddle-slang-the-dictionary-of-cycling-lingo/team-time-trial, TTT takes the team's cumulative time to determine the winner. And as you can see from the results, https://doublecentury.co.za/news/rh77-factory-wins-fiercely-contested-old-mutual-wealth-double-century/, the winning team was not declared based on their cumulative time. So, this race can be labeled as a road race in the style of a TTT.
  4. Good morning, all. I'm just enquiring about any group rides taking place in KZN between 23 and 27 Dec 2024? I'm taking my gravel bike down, so I'm down for some dusty tracks, too. TIA
  5. Why 12? Why not 8, like in the pro peloton?
  6. Urgent sale, I'll offer him R10K.
  7. Go ahead, I'm not sure what I can answer..
  8. Well then feats you eyes on this bad boy. https://bikerumor.com/50k-most-expensive-exclusive-custom-specialized-s-works-tarmac-sl8-road-bike/ ROE today is R18.18/$.

  11. Maybe the owner posted 1 too many zeros.
  12. That's still considerably bigger than any other 1-day event, besides the CTCT. The glory days are most certainly gone.
  13. Rocks have ailments? 😁
  14. Learnt about this on BookFace last night. It's a pity Darryl might not have considered taking over (I can't confirm nor deny this). They are having a clearance sale, I'm hoping I can pick up some stuff for bargain-basement prices. On a related note, Decathlon, the French mega-retailer for sports equipment, is shutting up shop too. The Alberton branch is already closed, and I'm told the Boksburg one is clearing stock now. Strike while the iron is hot folks.
  15. There's a rumour floating around that Tadej Pogacar will be taking part in the e-sports worlds. Imagine have a virtual AND IRL rainbow jersey?!? Bananas. Someone who can really hold 7w/kg ripping past you. https://www.cyclingnews.com/features/2024-uci-cycling-esports-world-championship-preview-first-of-its-kind-live-final-details-revealed/
  16. I use an Ecoflow with 800W power and it works just fine.
  17. Ja, MOW is this Sunday. Did the Joburg Classic even happen?
  18. Is holding 7w/kg for 21 minutes considered impossible? Asking for a World Tour pro friend..
  19. I can only picture the Strava AI feedback to Pogacar - That was quite a ride from a 3-time TDF champion! You missed out on a few KOMs though, we know you can go harder!
  20. They clearly states Beta version, let's give it time. I don't quite know where the idea came from, I know I never asked for some AI bot to tell me I'm fat and slow, and that a zone 4.12 ride was too easy..
  21. You can go as low as F group and get a sub-3.
  22. Seeding Policy An entrant’s for Virgin Active 947 Ride Joburg ROAD index will be calculated using the following criteria: The Organising Committee will use selected road events obtained between 1 November 2021 to 30 September 2024 for seeding (at the discretion of the Race Director). https://ridejoburg.howler.co.za/events/virgin-active-947-ride-joburg-road-2024-35e5 So, a regular seeding race, Meals on Wheels, seemingly won't be taken into consideration.
  23. I thought this was a road race, I never entered a track race!
