  1. Pretty violent, but I'd have done the same if I caught the bAstards that stole my bikes.
  2. First ride IRL in some time. Fitness numbers are WAY down, but so be it. Nice ride out to Rosebank for a coffee and croissant. Another "jacaranda tour".
  3. Bring back the days of 3000 points for a 100km bike ride.
  4. Dis f0k0l. LIGHTWEIGHT Wheelset 28" Meilenstein C 24D Disc 20/20 | Clincher (evobikes.co.za)
  5. Just finished watching the unofficial documentary of American Gladiator on Netflix. Good show. Incredible that 30 years after the conclusion of the American leg, the gladiators still get emotional about their involvement.
  6. The power pedals alone would make me want to cry. Sorry guy.
  7. Man, Oom Tony is a speed demon. I'd love to know his power required to do this event at that average speed.
  8. I have one baby and he's robbed my training time. But his cute face is worth it 🤣
  9. E batch seeding. W batch start with a mate, maybe more, on their MTBs and myself on my SS. Look out for me on a Gulf Oil-esque colourway Rook bike.

  11. OMG, this is my bike I sold to TVS! I'll let him know immediately, but I can say with 99% certain this ad is fake. Just report this tool on the FB Marketplace.
  12. very much so. I thought Phil Gaimon would've held the most. Where can one even find who holds the most KOMs?
  13. And that's why Eddy is and will forever be the GOAT.
  14. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Sepp is only one of two Yanks to have won the overall. Interestingly, Chris Horner (the other Yank) is the oldest winner to date, at the tender age of 41 in 2013! He runs a successful YT channel which I watch during every GT.
  15. Looks very cool. 7 day lead time tho, who has that long to wait LOL
  16. Good afternoon,Hubbers. I spotted this jersey a while ago, and I cannot find it anywhre. I think these were made by Anatomic, but they cannot be found on their website. I presume these were rather limited run. Can anyone point me towards where I can get one? Size L. Thanks!
  17. Good morning, Hubbers! Going away for the long weekend to Merrivale/Howick area, and keen to try some of the gravel-ish routes there again (gravel bike friendly). Home base will be Merrivale, so anything North of there if suit me best. What can the Natal residents recommend? From the initial plotting I've done on Strava, it's not road condition I should worry about, it's elevation gain.
  18. My 2c. The PM is good for keeping track of your TSS. You cannot realistically expect to stay in training zones on a MTB ride with ups and downs, too much variation. It's only really worth while if you understand the concept of TSS, particularly if you know how much TSS you must accumulate in a week or a block of 42 days. A PM can also track you fitness, form and fatigue better than a HRM can. Training and Racing with a PM by Allen and Coggan is the proverbial bible, try to get hold of a copy if you can. https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/18926670#:~:text="Training and Racing with a,readiness%2C and race using power.
  19. Should be calories expended. Calories consumed would be energy bars, hydration etc, but I understand what you mean. Wattage is the SI unit for work (W), or Joules (energy) per second, using built is strain gauges to measure the amount of physical distortion in the strain gauges, it calculates the amound of FORCE on the crank. Force times distance, probably the distance from the BB to the pedal spindle centre equals work. 4.184 kilojoules is equal to 1 calorie (kcal) of energy. No brainer why the PM can more accurately estimate the calories expended than say a HRM.
  20. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1941-packard-90-open-top-tour-bus.1104459/ That car is nowhere near CPT.
