  1. Agreed - Summit Cycles in Midrand
  2. I've only had good sevice from them and I find them competitively priced.
  3. Are the 'blades' interchangeble? (same fastener spacings)
  4. Make sure that you use an option with a tracking number!!
  5. This is the sort of service I have experienced from Solomons Woodmead over the last few years.
  6. This was a great race. A definite to do. Sabie forests and single tracks at night!! And it was well organised!
  7. Only good purchasining experiences
  8. My advice would be to start with a good bike setup. The solution for ITBS in cyclists is most often found in the cause.

    Freedom Challenge

The first batch of nutters doing the Freedom Challenge leave Maritzburg for Paarl tomorrow morning. Snow all over the mountains already!
  10. Ensure that you do not slow down your circulation with too many pairs of socks or gloves that are too tight. That merely exacerbates the problem.
  11. Please be on the lookout for a red and white Epic (Ferrari Red). It has a red and white Specialized Test saddle on it. The saddle says 'Test Saddle'. Hijacked yesterday morning in Midrand. Two bikes alredy recovered!! Thanks Dave
  12. This is a very well organised, albeit tough event. Stunning riding through the Berg. Put it on your list of 'To Do' races. This is a great alternative (logistic wise)for the nothern provinces to Trans Baviaans.
  13. I think that they are called 'mushrooms'
  14. Has anyone used or is anyone using the Lizard Skin Shock boots. Do they work? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=4761
  15. No, you're barking up the wrong tree.
  16. It looks like a bucket list ride
  17. And Hudders just smiles
  18. Sounds very much like ITBS and I believe (having suffered myself) that the only long term solution is to ensure that your bike setup is correct.
  19. The last one was very good. Worthwhile doing
  20. Ride to Rhodes is obviously not a race, but it will blow your mind in way or the other :D Well, well worth doing.
  21. Garmin 310 xt is a significant improvement imo on their previous watch hrm. Good battery life and all the stats you could want.
  22. For those nutters doing the Freedom Challenge (starting on Saturday ) a kilo or two makes a huge difference on the portages.
  23. Aran Brown is in JHB. The bike setup changed my cycling. Niggling injuries disapeared. I would recomend him 100%
  24. Just tap water all year round Used it on RASA last year and it seemed to congeal into a ball of wet powder, however the temperatures were fairly low
