Ive not had much luck with finding the ‘magic gears’😝 agree that a tensioner will look wrong on that bike.

What do the dropouts look like? You might not need a tensioner unless it’s vertical.i might be wrong but those look like they might be horizontal. If so you are in luck. Also, if its a shimano HG freebody, all you need is a cog and spacers. You can use any chain. Get like a 8/9/10 speed chain. Should be safe to use the cycle lane the next two days lol. Coming into lower church this morning around 8, there was a major operation going on there. About 20 cop cars, vans, huge anount of officers, dogs, shotguns, vagrants in single file being escorted up the hill. Wanted to take a pic but was driving. they were down both sides of the bridge. Also taking pictures of everything. Hopefully some change coming.

Everything old is new again, you’ll see😁. The mechanicals that replaced the electronics work flawlessly and best of all, the set-and-forget nature means I have literally forgotten about it. Its a thing attached to my bike that just always works.the same thing happened when I replaced the over complicated fox X2 with a coil shock. I dont spend hours wasting time fiddling with settings anymore, it just works now. I feel like I have removed complexity from my life not having to spare a thought for a battery on a tool I use to decompress and have fun with.

Thats what the maxxis DHF, DHRII, Assegai etc cost too. Saw some DH casing DHRII on a shelf the other day for R1550. Nearly cried. A magic mary and a DHF cost the same these days. xc tires are cheap in comparison if they are ‘only’ 899😅

Stop buying the cheap performance line ones from sportmans warehouse i say🤣. Schwalbes new evo ‘super’ line of tires are just as good/better than maxxis casings. Super ground=exo, super trail=exo+, then you also get super gravity and super DH. You also get super race but go ask Nino how he feels about maxxis Race version at and their puncture resistance at the epic a few years ago haha. I have a set of maxxis exo+ on one bike and Schwalbe super trail on another….and ride them both equally badly over the rocks from jonkers, conties etc…without inserts, and have not had any problems on either. And im relatively ‘fat’ again too (90kg😅) I do like the way the Schwalbe casings feel at lower pressures, theres a zing to them. They FEEL fast. But i also dont mind the EXO+ edit: on the cosmetic side of things though….maxxis look like puke. Ive always hated the way they plaster the sidewalls with branding. The OEM white versions or tanwalls are fine, but the normal yellow ones are just dumb. They look like a cheap billboard.
