  1. Raleigh RC7000 Carbon.
  2. It includes the fork, headset and seatpost. Sorry, should have included all that info in original post.
  3. Sorry. Its a road frame.
  4. Hi all, Please help me out here. In terms of a carbon frame weight, what would be considered as being light? I am interested in a carbon frame but the weight is 2kg for a small frame, which seems heavy to me.
  5. I have an X-Lab wing with 2 bottles in, and then a cage on the frame with a tool bottle in. On longer rides i have the bottle mounting for between tri bars.
  6. Those might just be the ugliest glasses i have ever seen.
  7. My wife refers to the garage as my 'boardroom'.
  8. Don't you think that for once it would be nice to hear the truth from the 'horse's mouth'??
  9. I have just seen it on the bicycling magazine site. The special 90-minute episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter will air locally in South Africa on Friday, 18 January at 19:30 on TLC (DStv 172 and TopTV 453).
  10. Does anyone know if this will be available to watch on local tv??
  11. Got a Adamo for my TT bike and found it to be awesome. Got one on my road bike now too.
  12. Any travel agents on the hub that can assist with decent pricing on tickets to NYC???
  13. I was chatting with a person last week who told me that there had been 12 busts by Athletics SA and 30 at the craven week rugby.
  14. Some assistance and advice please. I am travelling to the USA next year to compete in the Hy-Vee triathlon champs. Gonna be taking the Mrs and making a holiday out of it and not particularly excited about dragging my bike around. Does anyone know if it is possible to rent a decent bike for a few days to do the race?
  15. Hey, I have a thule 9104 rack that will fit perfectly on your Golf. Selling it for R800.00 Had it on a Toyota Auris, and it worked perfectly even with 3 bikes on.
  16. If its anything like the garmin you will need a distance sensor on the rear wheel for an IDT.
  17. Training for Ironman i munched on hot cross buns. They were awesome, ate about 1 every 2 hrs, just having a little nibble every half an hour. Used these and a combo of water and powerade and was fine on training rides up to 7hrs.
  18. Hi all, Looking at a bike GPS and at the moment its a toss up between a Garmin 500 and Bryton 35. Ive read the reviews on both and the comparison topics here on the hub and i am edging towards the Garmin. I have a question that i cant find an answer to regarding the HR function on the Garmin. Does it have sport HR zones that you can set like the Polar watches. Anyone know??
  19. Im currently training for Ironman, and i am having problems with me knees while running. The problems relate to my feet and my hips which im busy working on with a bio and ortho. Could training on a spin bike be adding to my problem??? Advice please!!

    WOW

Finally managed to get me a new set of wheels. I upgraded from a set of Shimano RS10 that came with my original bike to a set of dimpled Zipp 404. OMG what a difference. I now understand what a difference a good wheelset makes.
  21. Ok, so it seems that the general idea should be to start with the fork? Is it possible to modify a fork (I have a Rock Shox Recon) to the 120mm.
  22. To all the seasoned MTB riders out there i have a question. I recently built up a full sus MTB (GT Sensor) from my old hartail. Now the sensor is designed to have 120mm travel, but my old fork from the hardtail only has 80-100mm. I have always ridden it this way, and its what ive become used to, but lately i have though that perhaps its not right. Yesterday riding down some rocky decents, the bike felt terrible, twitchy and all over the show. I had a mate take it down and they said that it was one of their scariest bike experiences. Now the question, will the mismatched suspension travel make a huge difference? (Perhaps the poor handling will explain my dislike for anything remotely technical).
  23. The chip comes off the little holders easily. It has 3 (i think) little prong thingies that go through the orange chip. Just cable tie onto your fork. I have done this becuase the rattle of the stupid chip on its holder used to drive me mad.
  24. Is it possible to get a stem shim/spacer to fit standard diametre handlebar in a oversize stem??
  25. I have Shimano RS10 wheelset at the moment, its not too bad about 2kg i think. Im 60kg so weight of bike is not too concerning as i am lighter than most anyway. So i think it might be the group.
