Same here in Durbanville, it is not that hectic, we went to do a myrun this morning in Paarl, and was commenting on the lack of wind, till we reached the Engen garage on the N1, from there it was pumping with strong gusts.

It is what it is now, I am waiting to see what happen on wed (I assume when we get to perform the first play) and then again next week, to see what is going to happen. Currently I have not moved over to the new Disc Bank. We have had some benefits from vitality before so continued using it this year, the weekly rewards is a bonus.

If the forecast (including the gust prediction is correct), it might mean that motor vehicles from the front will have to pass the cyclist on opposite side of the R44 road for that section from windmeul into klapmuts.

Thank you PPA for the amazing event (ok heard there was some issues with the timing), but other than that thanks for your part. I have not seen the final numbers but it felt like there were a bit more people. The wind..eish, felt really for those riders doing the long route. My one big concern, and not sure how the others feel about it, is the riding behaviour I saw on the long route (A-B group), when they came past us, the back half of the group was not just crossing the middle line, they were clean across it (the whole back part of the group). Spoke to the marshall afterwards, they tried talking, pleading, but the guys supposedly did not care about those behind them and each just rode their own race. So not sure what they will be doing about it, but seems that at one stage a truck had to stop because all the riders were on his side of the road. Probably a bit of rock and hard place DQ the riders and they might pull a nasty and just not show up in future, or do the right thing and send them a message.

And at a very good price point for PPA members (R100 cheaper than for non-ppa)

How was the route today? Seems to have been less rain that on friday at least

Seems the weather is looking a bit better today, with most of the next rain only being predicted for later tomorrow afternoon (extra motivation to finish earlier). Wonder how much mud will still be around the course today
