Littering is against the Pedal Power rules so, for those of us in the Cape, if you see someone littering you can take their number and report them.

Heard this on a programme about road traffic once: It depends on the type of circle. There are two types - small circles with the yellow bumps in the middle (look like sunnyside-up eggs) and the larger circles with pavement/gardens in the middle that one can't drive over. A person approaching the former must yield to vehicles already in the circle. A person approaching the latter must yield to vehicles on the right.

They got back to me very quickly and were very helpful. I couldn't find it on the website, but according to the Beeld report - after three warning letters, the driver can be charged criminally. Don't know whether it will happen in practice but let's give it a shot - it is better than nothing.

The commentators were not great - Johnnie Koen called David Garett John O'Connor! They obviously didn't have start lists. But I'm not complaining! It was great that the race was televised, and live too! My brother was shown a lot and it was just so exciting to watch him - was sitting on the edge of the couch! Hope SABC can cover more races like this live.

Sure Bolt is clean! The doping programme in Jamaica is the best in the world, especially the out of season testing - there is just no way he could get away with doping.

Pocketbikes, its not only about the doping. Owen is, in my opinion, not a good presenter, and doesn't add much value to the programme. There are hundreds of cyclists in South Africa with useful cycling knowledge, who have not been caught, and I'm sure that some of them would be better presenters. That's just my opinion. But maybe I'm wrong, maybe he's improved a helluva lot since I stopped watching.

I don't watch the show either. But if they want constructive criticism, I would suggest getting better hosts. Being a good cyclist and doing a lot for the industry doesn't make one suited for television. Oh, and being caught for doping should automatically exclude one. We all know it happens but it shouldn't be condoned by putting the guy on television as if he is an authority.
