  1. don't forget the michelin wild enduro's. Can't hold a candle to the sidewall support of an SG carcass, but grips like stink. Rolls just as well. But the outright grip champ has to be E13. But it comes with a price, and it's not the RRP.
  2. works just as well for the keyboard heroes..
  3. is there something missing, because that statement sounds reasonable?
  4. hotdamn that arbr is pure desire..
  5. nah. the pressure wave spreads out in a cone behind the aircraft's leading edge that creates the compression. Where that cone hits the water it will effectively be a line perpendicular to the point of travel. like so... To create that level of upwash requires a massive localized drop in pressure above the water's surface. Unfortunately, even the trailing vortices generated by all aircraft, don't drop air pressure to that degree. That looks more like the spray created by a very high powered watercraft than an aircraft.
  6. i remember that image, but i think it was fake. Didn't care though, it awe inspiring, and similarly, one of my favorite child hood memories of fighter jets.
  7. love the look of that bird.
  8. with so many interdicts against strikes, i wonder when the judicial dam wall is going to be breached, and unprotected strikes become order of the day again. the country's financials are not good, and government dithering on key reforms is putting enormous pressure on existing work providers. At some point, gatvol is going to become an understatement.
  9. same thing going on in Eskom. Tthe bane of every SOC it seems
  10. how nervous does it make you when you read stuff about Mango airlines being serviced with parts supplied by criminals ? I guess it's only a problem when the plane starts falling out of the sky.
  11. Fox sox are the only ones I buy for riding. Super comfy, and they wear well. So surprised you had holes after 2 rides. Perhaps a bad batch with pre-existing faults or moths?
  12. got zero rating on Rotten tomatoes.
  13. dammit. gimme a chance to finish working my way through Bill's brain! Trailer looks so good. definitely on the watchlist.
  14. Thanks! looking forward to watching that.
  15. if the 'unofficial results are anything to go by, you shuold've gotten the tesla
  16. Got hooked on The Capture, right on the first ep. Second ep just sucked me in deeper. Show is smoking hot. BBC production.
  17. Unbelievable. Very unsettling to watch this show, but it's superb. If it wasn't for work tomorrow, I would have binged all of it. Twitter reviewers are raving about it. Feels as impactful as the first season of 13 Reasons Why, but better, grittier.
  18. ouch! that's some heavy school fees. Those e-bay sellers, what were their reviews like?
  19. that was crazy. how the dickens does such a low ramp launch a full car that high. It's like the thing exploded under it, except it didn't. Lucky to walk away with only a broken verterbra or two. Pure gold in the comments..
  20. ooo yeah! ta for the headsup
  21. amen brother. But Katrina...
  22. i struggled with that first ep of season 2. but it's on the to-do list. Finally finished both seasons of Jordskott. It's actually pretty sad and interesting, good little twists and turns in the plot. Left me quite fascinated with the swedish language.
  23. i think this forum needs to have a vote on the matter. I vote for the contractor on this one
  24. does he want it stained black to this degree?
  25. hey DJR. how close to mondrian did your son want it? If closer, it might work better to coat the interior, as it will convey the mondrian pattern abit louder when viewed from any angle. The inside color will also serve to highlight the helmets that i imagine would occupy the boxes. Nice tight joinery there
