  1. i'm curious: why isn't there a need for this? Must someone get infected first, or what's the threshold for getting entitled pricks like these to comply with a very simple, it'sGoodForEveryone initiative? FWIW, i agree with you, for the moment. Meaning i suspect this prick is the type that must have what he wants, when he wants it, how he wants it.
  2. to be fair, i 'm glad he freaked out online instead of acting on impulses. Bonus, a hub bit of furniture, nicely describes her first few days under lock down.I guess we all going to have to deal with it in our own way, including freaking out online. Better safe than sorry
  3. and you are like this on day 1?
  4. leave it as is. it's like the Rand racing toward R10.00 thread title: a great little time capsule
  5. Toolcraft having a nice 20% off lockdown sale, but in-store only, yet their stated position for COVID has been to limit entry to the store. In fact, today, you could only order from outside the store, and collections done the same way. maybe i'm just miffed i pulled the trigger before the sale kicked in
  6. In my view, that's the worst of his tweet: so easily seen as rank arrogance. Whether the lockdown was announced or not, i dont think that was wise of him to express his views as he did.
  7. wtf noakes..*smh* to be fair, I understand that as him saying the risk to him is not great because he leads a low inflammatory eating regime. He might have a point, but without clinical data to prove it (COVID-19 is called NOVEL for a reason, as in never seen before in humans), his tweet can be taken as a proven means to protect against infection. Ironically, how inflammatory! At least he had the sense (perhaps a lucky omission?) to not even hint at LCHF diets as prophylactic ito COVID-19. my f*k Tim! For your sake, i hope your account was hacked
  8. Saudi also has some strict repercussions.. 10000SR (about R46k) and/or 20 days in prison.
  9. that shitfaced attitude here on the hub and on twitter definitely made them rub more braincells together. Once again, the conviction of desire reams everyone. Worst of all, i feel it for the pooches that need their walk just to be healthy, especially the big breeds.
  10. standign in the queue at the bank, this guy remarks: so I hear Prince Charles has covid. Just imagine the queen rubbing Vicks on his chest...
  11. if they engage a more braincells, they might just arrive at the conclusion that that sort of approach relies too much on individual common sense, and as is evident in this thread and on twitter alone, the conviction stemming from desire overrides the sacrifice necessary from everyone. Exceptions should be rare.
  12. was wondering if he/she was the type that struggled with midnight Thursday.
  13. I see France has banned all recreational riding, only walking and running allowed. Even put limits on distance 2km for kids and less for adults. Drastic measures to curb spread.
  14. Watched Contagion (2011)..minus the fatality rate and convenient happy ending, pretty much bang on: our current reality for the next few months wrapped up in 1h46min of film. One site says the pandemic movie of our time is not movies like contagion, rather Jaws..
  15. .Devs is legit creepy. Sonoya Mizuno is always a pleasure
  16. Maybe get some stinkeye from the Narcos fans, but i haven't watched that series. this one is mildly appealing..
  17. hows that donkey riding these days?
  18. oh yeah and it looks savage!
  19. i;ll bet you do..
  20. overreacting, hmmm. How do you figure that FdV? Genuinely curious to know the thinking that shaped that perspective.
  21. North Korea stands a great chance as an alternate venue: zero cases. officially
  22. and pop went unit 1, hello stage 4. omfs.
  23. Binged this. Much much better than the recent 3-episode BBC adaptation. Good hear a season 2 is on the cards, because that S01 ending needs serious work
  24. oh boy, you are in for a treat. It's Ms Smulderinghot in a way you don't expect
  25. Anyone watching Stumptown? https://youtu.be/HwynrxEPSQk It's one of those shows that may be a serial private investigator story, which are dime a dozen, but I feel the characters make it so worthwhile, easy, enjoyable viewing. Superb soundtrack, pretty much one of the better supporting actors.
