  1. Easy.... demand and supply. There is clearly a demand for it and CWC is supplying a product that fit that market. Basic business actually. If you are put off by the price, the the product is not aimed at you. If someone with too much money wants to spend that on discs, good on them. Sounds like something Mr Kunene might be interested in, it should go great with the sushi. :-)
  2. There is a lot of cyclist doing that section. I did it this morning, the blue signs normally indicating highways are only past the Muldersdrift/ avianto off/onramp. I thinbk most people see this as the highway only starting from that section. That said, the GPS on my phone seems to indicate the highway (or motorway as the phone calls it) only starts at the Beyers Naude offramp.
  3. 7.44 for me. Group R. My corporate bond group starts at 8-06.
  4. I guess it would be, hate the game, not the player/s. It seems that the concensus is to learn to enjoy the sound,
  5. I always thought Minki was the only one that should go grrrrrr grrrrr.
  6. Hate is such a strong word! Don't hate it, just always thought that it might be disturbing to my fellow riders. (and they can hear you sneaking up on them) But if you guys like it, I'll keep on riding them!
  7. Hi, I have a set of Mavic Cosmic Carbone's. Is it possible to stop the rear wheel from sounding like a reel run with the ratched swithced on, while you are free wheeling? I like the wheels but can't seem to get over that sound. Seems like a trait of Mavic wheels? Thanks in advance.
  8. Very, very nice. All that white is just begging for mud!
  9. I thought that is what your Miway Rewards were for? I'd say R250 is money well spent seeing that you are now marketing them as said before.... Even better if they bought it at Solly's R50 sale
  10. This must qualify as the bargain of the month! I'm jealous!
  11. What about guys asking " Is this still available?" when the last post stated that the item has been sold (sometimes months ago)....... BURN THEM AT THE STAKE!
  12. I've seen the crossmarks fitted wrong way round (back to front) in the rear. Apparantly it helps it grip better if you are doing some climbing over loose. In the wet I have found they clog up a fair bit. Have not had any punctures (touch wood)
  13. I've got on of those Serfas ones. Carefull, arc eyes are a definate risk! These puppies are bright!
  14. Nice! Give us the specs!
  15. Yip, search further down in this section. There was a poll going about which combo's work best. O, and welcome to the Hub!
  16. So where does this leave us for the Honda this weekend, especially following the rain this week? Will the monorail, crossmark combo suffice? not running them yet but do have a set as backup..... or will we need to start a complete new thread?
  17. Entered earlier tonight. Got some error message about server error at pay stage, although website still shows I'm entered First stage race for me...............
  18. You would need to specify your bike and also prove that the bike was locked up (chained to something) outside the shop. The term is "due care and precaution".
  19. My snowman!
  20. I had 106km.
  21. All insurance companies have the visible forced entry clause when dealing with claims from outbuildings (such as your garage). This means you have to show where they broke the lock to get into the garage. If you have an alarm endorsement and you do not arm the alarm and suffer a break-in, your claim can be repudiated even if there is visible forced entry. You usually only have to prove visible forced entry into your house if you are claiming for cash (for which you have limited cover anyway, usually less than R1000). When insuring anything under the all risk/ portable possession section (also known as specifying an item) you usually enjoy cover for all eventuallities except if it is proven that you were negligent. Your cycles will be covered under the all risk section on your policy, giving you cover anywere in the world and for races unless it is a specific exclusion on your policy (usually only if you are a pro).
  22. Also with AF. had a claim beginning of 2009, no problems. Just remember to insure for what your bike will be worth if you had to replace today. Have heard of some guys getting their bikes stolen but because they are under-insured they could only replace the frame.
