CL get a lot of flack, perhaps some justification in light of the price fixing issue. But they are not the most expensive on on all items as if often claimed though, pricing the Giro helmets at them then price the same one elsewhere including Sportsmans warehouse CL is cheaper. A 48mm tube, Cajees box price R75, Sportmans Warehouse R49.95 CL R33. Some items will be more expensive but others not.

I also had similiar, took it to Avnic and they said i must have dropped it causing the seal to leak. Rode with it for a long time till i experienced an unrelated problem which Avnic after much hesitation then swopped out the unit for me.

I see they are allowing late entries on race day albeit with penalties LATE ENTRIES ARE AVAILABLE ON THE DAY AT A PENALTY OF R50 FOR SOLO RIDERS AND R100 PER TEAM!

Playing scenario here. What if a rider gets top 3 finish in a road race, but his name does not appear amongst the timing results. Whats to stop someone posting a thread hinting the reason being X rider refused drug testing?? Never mind that the reason could well be that he forgot his chip, chip was faulty or that he was DQ'ed for some other totaly unrelated infringement. Damge done and its now up to the poor rider to defend themselves.

Telling someone I'll do it now now or just now means....well, whenever.

Have all police stations and border customs officials been trained and issued with machines to read the dots, if not then the desired effect falls short.

I used to have V and disk, in dry conditions i could hardly tell the difference performance wise, It was only in mud and wet conditions that i found disks better. Cant recall the last time i saw a top end MTB with V brakes for sale in the shops.

I would say thats classy for a road bike, MTB you need a more rugged vehicle

They use scare tactics, particulary if you are female and more so if you have young kids with you.

They do occasionaly fail but never heard of one pushing it off the rim, only thing i can think of is that a section of the tube was trapped between tyre and rim thus blowing it off but as you mention you check for that. I always carry 2 bombs and a pump on training rides.

They been open a week and i've been there 3 times already, bought my Specialized and Trek from the Nothgate one CL claim to beat any price, been there done that, but if they feel there not much profit they will tell you to buy it from the shop they cant match. They are not the mosts expensive as some make them out to be, their Giro helmets are cheaper than Sportmans Warehouse, even their tubes are cheaper than Cajees who say they will knock off X amount so it appears you are getting it much cheaper but if you price it elsewhere its not really. I use CL as part of a group of bike shops.

If it takes me a tank of petrol to drive there and another to drive back things like deals and services are gonna be pretty expensive, besides they have just opened up a cyclelab at K90 five km from my house.

Road is OK, just not in a spinning class
