  1. Yup, that would be it.
  2. That's standard everytime i've been there they have accepted late entries, but i get your point, you dont want travel all the way out there only to find that they dont accept late entries.
  3. You cam register on day
  4. Watching and waiting
  5. Its good they opened very quietly, i only found out they were opening when i went to the VA Gym. Young crowd, chatted to some sales staff and the mechanic who races also Elite and they appear enthusiastic. They have the usual range of bikes, GT, Trek, (nice range of 29 ers) and Merida and what they dont stock they will try obtain. Prices vary some items cheaper than other shops some not.
  6. I see your reply is the 1st One on this thread
  7. That's why i like where i stay, within +/- 5km radius i have Tour de Frans, Cajees, Cyclelab, Pro Cycles, Saint Sports and Woodstock.
  8. Use the search function, I'm sure this is not the 1st 1.
  9. Pro Cycles is in 5th Avenue (heading east along Northrand) Northmead Benoni, the mech there used to wrench for Barloworld and Tumbleweed works weekend there.
  10. Depends if you are a buyer or seller, buyer 1st option, seller last option.
  11. Chatting to our club chairman a few weeks back, he was saying the new rules have so many loopholes
  12. I would believe he took this up with them, in particular Andrew Maclean as i'm sure he would have liked to know and would have done something. If you have time on your hands do a price check on helmets in particular the Giro range you will be surprised to find Cyclelab is NOT the most expensive. Tubes 48mm Cajees R75, Sportsmans warehouse R42 and Cyclelab R33.00.
  13. You can carry a map book in a back pack and fit a cadence sensor on your bike and fit a power meter on your bike and wear a HR monitor and keep a manual diary of your training and workout Or You can get a Garmin 705
  14. Mavic Open pro have a 32 hole option.
  15. Only ridden SRAM3 and 5 and currently riding mix SLX/XT. I find the SRAM smoother and easier to change but the SLX/XT more precise.
  16. Happens far too often at these rally's, but guess what at the next one some bikers will do exactly the same thing, if the they try instill some dicipline they tell them to sod off as they believe they are Evil Keniviel and nothing can touch them.
  17. For a dual suspension that is a very good price.
  18. New i doubt you will find anything decent under R10000.00 except those cheap PnP/Makro type Raleigh's. Buycycle have a Commencal DS bike for under R12000.00 its a 2009 bike with decent components http://www.buycycle.co.za/buycycles/mtb-suspension/commencal-en-2-3/commencal-combi-s-2009-commencal.html
  19. IMO the Silverback RS2 with full tiagra components looks very good value, it also helps that it looks stunning
  20. I know and he wants it back
  21. Great, been there a few times. They have some real bargains there, will give the other surrounding LBS competetition. Whenever i walk in there they are so eager to assist it borders on harassment.
