  1. Thing is, I'll have to row without moving my legs. As soon as I use my legs, my ankle twists and it hurts. So basically, it's just my arms going back and forth.
  2. Het vanoggend probeer, maar het net 1m gevorder. Toe gaan le ek maar moedeloos in die sauna
  3. AT the moment I'm doing full body strength training 3 times a week with a legit core session each time. Will be swopping some of those sessions with pilates or yoga from next week, as I'm starting to look like a body builder. MJ, I know the rowing can be lekker tough, but I'll only be using my arms. Can't use my legs to go back and forth. Maar dis seker maar al wat ek kan doen.
  4. I hurt my ankle with action cricket and haven't been able to run or cycle for more than 4 weeks now. I can't use the stepper or eliptical trainer at the gym and also can't swim. What can I do to stay fit? The only thing I can do is sit still on a rowing machine and row, but that's only upper body and can get really boring. (NOt maried, so I can't do that other thing as well )
  5. Ok sorry. I'm bored today
  6. I'll do this epic race thingy. I'll be able to pay the race entry fee by next week. Just waiting for a friend who still owe me money. I paid for his drinks this weekend. I am also quite competitive. Have been riding for a while now on my raleigh(Got it from makro) and have done my first long ride(2 hours) this weekend. Managed to do 25km on district roads. I usually train between 2 and 3 hours a week, but once I stop drinking and smoking I will be able to manage up to 4hours a week.
  7. Or take it to Epic Sports in Doornkloof. They are my lbs and I like the work Andre is doing there. Don't recall them listed as price fixer
  8. Johan bornman is still legit, but he's in northcliff area though
  9. But how was it? WOuld you go again?
  10. Ended up lightly sanding the the brake surfus and followed with steelwool. Will let you know about the bearing if I come to that side of town.
  11. bump
  12. I'm a minimalist on the bike, so the less I carry with me the better and my tube is already taped to the seatpost. That's the only reason I don't take plugs with me
  13. What bearings does a truvativ GXP bb take? My bearings aren't running smooth anymore.
  14. I only carry a spare tube, no plugs. Just in case of a sidewall cut. On a really long ride I would maybe take some patches
  15. Contact Tarmac. He has a set of XTR wheels and if they aren't pimped enough, then get some wheels decals from tyerone
  16. What is not wanting to spend much? My first bike I wanted to spend "much". Now my next wheelset will be more than that and this time I don't want to spend much. So give a budget. And also lightweight and strong should not be used in the same sentence. Do you want racing wheels, training wheels or all round wheels? Buying from ebay is not a bad idea, but I would read some reviews before buying.
  17. You seriously want an answer to that question. Think this is more of a rant and rave or chit chat question.
  18. When my injuries heal, i'll ride with you on some days. I work in sunninghill
  19. What's the condition of the XTR wheels and what's their weight. (If zork don't want them)
  20. Wanted to try new lube for some time now. Couple of questions: I use dry wax based squirt at the moment on my mtb and road during winter and summer(wet) conditions. For what conditions can chain L be used? What I like about the wax based dry lube is that I can touch the chain without getting black chain marks on my hands. How is chain L? CanI use chain L on my derailleur etc?
  21. Ok, on to the rims. What's the best way to treat the rims with to improve the braking surface?
  22. Have u ever heard of cable rub? Destroying your frame, your pretty carbon frame. My gear and brake cables almost rubbed through my fork on my cervelo before I realised it and got some frame patches.
  23. I just asked for some clear stickers, and it's pretty thick as well.
  24. A while ago someone was looking for frame patches and me as well. Warning: Don't buy the expensive ones from who-ever with the logos and stuff on if you want something plain and simple AND cheap. I bought this from a motorbike shop. It's 2 cheets and it only cost me R180. Anyone wanna buy a sheet from me for R90
  25. We were in the same class in High School. I remember when he got his first set of drums, it wasn't long before he could play almost anything and he is self learned.
