  1. Seems like there's a lot of questions. Here goes mine: Is it possible to subscribe to the feed of only one forum/section? I want my RssReader to only show Tech Q&A posts and not all the other.
  2. Call Fritz Pienaar Irene. Don't have their number with me, but they stock silverback
  3. This topic has been widely discussed on the hub. A shorter handlebar definately makes a difference. It will be more responsive. The bike will now turn sharper with less "hand travel" on the handlebar.
  4. Thanks for the manual edman. Was looking for it, but couldn't find one. Also thanks for explaning Johan.
  5. I think you have java disabled in IE
  6. She's a mtber
  7. Thanks, but is that a balance weight or is it just a locknut?
  8. I'm giving my roadbike a full service before road season starts again. I have never worked on a roadbike and will have a couple of questions(Only ones which I can't find on google) First one: 1. I took off the dust cap on my campag eurus wheels and after trying to remove a nut I found it may be a balancing weight or something. Is this for balance and how do I get the wheel to balance again. 2. Are there any maintenance on these wheels? They still run super smooth.
  9. So I guess I don't need them then?
  10. That's what I thought, but I wonder how the ride will be without them. BTW, just measured -1.5oC in the car. freaken hell and we had a braai outside my friend's house
  11. I'm giving the Cervelo a full service and I'm replacing my serfas handlebar tape with specialized roubaix bar tape that I got from fritz pienaar. This is the first time I'm replacing handlebar tape, so I'm a bit new to this. Anyway, the serfas tape had gel inserts under them like in the pic. Do I use them again, or did they come with the handlebar tape. The gel inserts is also serfas. Total disassembly took my 25min. Wonder how long it will take to replace everything.
  12. Can't really do it. You'll have to make the resistance the same as a road and then there is wind resistance etc. You can maybe simulate it closely by doing tests on the road and on the idt and measure hr and cadence etc.
  13. If I went, I would have only taken armwarmers and first ascent cyclone top
  14. I went alone the first time. The route is marked okeish, but doubt you'll get lost. Groenkloof isn't big enough to get lost. Worst thing that can happen is that you'll end up riding an extra 30min if you don't know where you're going and I don't see an extra 30min on my bike as a bad thing.
  15. Oh dis bad. So now whe're getting mugged by the guys that look after our cars.
  16. one word: INSURANCE I have it, wether it's alu or carbon. if it breaks, they replace it. Anyways, I ride what makes me happy and not what may have a greater chance of breaking
  17. O ok. I also have reba race and it's oily at the lockout, but I've been told that it's not all that bad. I also won't like that on a brand new fork though
  18. It's not that big a deal if a fork leaks a little oil, but it shouldn't really. I know my answer is weird. You can ask johan bornman if you are concerned
  19. I also went carbon mtb this year. Yet to have it break on me. It's nice and light. Climbs like monster. It's dead beautifull.
  20. I am a very happy owner of a second hand carbon roadbike and mtb. Look for cracks everywhere. Don't ask which frames are the strongest. There are hundreds of them. If you have a frame in mind, then google for reviews.
  21. what about second hand bikes?
