  1. Nicely built up. I'd like to see some other colours on the handlebar somewhere. But that's just me liking to pimp things. PS: I want that saddle.
  2. Ok, I'll try to give some tips: It's my personality to get bored easy, so here's some tips that I use. 1. Riding with music.(Not too loud) 2. Join a group at least once a week. (Can be a totally social ride) 3. If you don't feel like going for a ride, at least go for a ride around the block. If after that ride you haven't picked up a cycling mood, then go home. 4. Join a spinning class. 5. Try a new discipline. (I started with mtb, then I added road, this week I did my first spinning class and in the next few months I'll add dirt jump and track riding.) 6. Do races. 7. As Bos said, plan the session ahead and give meaning to every session. Don't just go out and ride. 8. Try riding at night. 9. Give your bike a cosmetic upgrade. If a bike looks nice, you'll want to ride it more often. 10. Get some buddies and drive out to stellies/franshoek/paarl on a saterday morning and go and ride there for change of scenery
  3. I make up my program as I go along. But I do keep it structured. I could follow normal advice, but I'd like to pick up my training faster, hence this thread.
  4. Well at least I recovered the whole of saterday. Got some more technical questions after reading a bit. 1. We need the cold shower/ice bath to contract the arteries as too flush out all the lactic acid. 2. Then there is the warming up again so the arteries can get wider for increase in bloodflow and deliver nutrition to the muscles to help recovery Stop me if I'm wrong so far!! Question: Which should happen first or doesn't it matter? And what recovery method helps for number 1 and which for number 2. This is what I think: Sauna (2) Stretch (2) Recovery ride (2) Elevation ? Cold bath/shower/ice (1) Compression (1) At the moment I do a warm down or stretch. Then cold shower and then steam room with legs in the air.
  5. Wrap something around your the fork, where the bottom headset bearing is, to protect from mud. Or better yet, buy this: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=4773 Dont wear white. I have a white jersey and arm warmers as proof Get eggbeaters and take shimano pedals along to through at potential attackers. Continuous cable housing.
  6. Tandem BMX. Now that's legit
  7. Not cool/unique as your's but here goes:
  8. Joey from friends, although I enjoyed the show. My second season of action cricket.
  9. indiana jones. Sorry, but I think Lance's comeback was successfull. 3rd in Tour de france for someone his age is brilliant. 36th or whatever this year after all his bad luck is really not too bad eiter.
  10. Don't be a panzy. Use it. Just set your alarm for 02:00am and do 100 pushups each night. Chances are you should maybe life to tell the tale

You're all just jeolous, cause you don't have the guns to show off whith sleeveless. I run with sleeveless and my tri-top is sleeveless.
  12. Wanted to do that with my blackberry, but thought it would be a good target for potensial thieves on-route
  13. Do a search on ebay for cellphone handlebar mounts. Or, get a beltclip cellphone holder spesific to your phone and get busy with superglue and cable ties.
  14. They look really nice bro. Did you mean for the "ASSAULT" to fade that much at the end and not a gradual fade.
  15. I wouldn't say you need a hydration pack just yet if you're on budget. Do you have cycling shoes, helmet, gloves. If you don't I'd rather spend the money on that.
  16. Sho. Can't the rear triangle or something be replaced??
  17. Won't be able to commit now, but if I'm free that weekend, then why not. I've got a baseball bat lying at home, so I'll be there with at least one item.
  18. When will we see full carbon brakes?
  19. I used to ride alone in that parts above coetzenburg and in the woods towards somerset. SOme awesome trails there. The second pic is where I fell and broke both arms on my first stellenbosch ride. Had been riding mtb for a month. Good times. Now I have to pay R25 to go and ride at groenkloof and there's not even some nice looking stellies students going for a hike. eish
  20. It's over. Andy wins the stage, but wins no time over AC
  21. Can't wait for this. Came in 3hours earlier this morning so that i can leave work early and go and watch the showdown on HD
  22. bmw. I couldn't believe it and it was the last service before the 100000km mark.
  23. You pay to get the warranty transfered. I found out the hard way. Bought a car in May and took for a service the other day. They told me the warranty is not in my name and it will cost me R1000 to transfer warranty.
  24. haven't had the problem and I have switched to much shorter bars and have cut my ESI grips in half
  25. Always do a search before asking "which is better..." or guys will start gathering popcorn.
