  1. Looks like he's used to being slapped and donnerred by a Brandy fused tannie
  2. Friend of ours is having a high tide pregnancy. She had been in hospital for the past month and will likely have a premmie. All I can say is thank goodness she is in there already so she has a bed and they've allocated incubators
  3. Was gonna say the same.... Paints her in pretty picture doesn't he!
  4. Don't forget to wipe down your steering wheel, door handles, gear stick, seatbelt, radio buttons
  5. I see comrades took down their post they posted today to say they are in lockdown. They copped so much flack that all the comments were negative
  6. Prince Charles is isolating at Balmoral with Covid-19. Prince Andrew is isolating in Windsor with Jennifer-14.
  7. I think because you have to go into work and you are in a commutable distance then it should be fine and not irresponsible. There's no need to go full Lycra because that may give off an unnecessary perception to others
  8. It probably also wants to know if the maid will be let in. I think people having to do housework may just destroy some people
  9. In a civilised society the allowance of exercise from your front door can work... But it also depends on a number of factors like population density etc. If everyone in a high density area was out running cycling and walking their dogs then it would pointless. People will also abuse this.. They won't run/cycle on their own... They won't do it from their front door... For that reason in a South African context I think it is foolish to do.. There's a bigger fear I have in A South African context though.... We have some of the highest incidence of domestic violence. This coupled with alcohol and a tight confinement is a disaster waiting to happen.... Privelidged people worrying about exercising is trivial
  10. I see Zweli didn't mention cycling... Sorry chaps.. You're all gonna have to come to the dark side and start running... There's even a bikehub strava group! [emoji23][emoji16]
  11. I don't. i think they are bring ignorant and selfish. By not making an announcement they are going to jeopardise the whole point of the lockdown as people will still try and put in their required mileage. Every single international event has been cancelled this year. Like I said earlier. I have lost all respect for the organisers
  12. Yup... The beaches by us were packed apparently Sunday afternoon because the sun was shining... But this is what it was like in the morning when we took our dogs for a walk. People just need to be sensible and if they want to go to places where others might be.. think of a less popular beach/park etc and less popular time
  13. Our family gave the Irish public a 60% mark for adhering to the initial restricted movement policy. I hope this speech and the additional enforcements will bring it up to a 70 or 80. I'm just back from a run and came across a family walking and a single lady walking. Realistically where we are we can go ahead and continue our health lifestyle as per normal and still not come across anyone. The only thing we have changed is that we are not running in groups and running solo.
  14. Yup.i know a myriad of people who haven't qualified.
  15. Genuine question now. My respect for the CMA has all but gone as a result over this whole thing and their stubbornness to delay the inevitable of cancelling the race. It's about a 90% certainly that the Olympics will be postponed to next year now.. Yet they continue to hold on. What's everyone else's opinions?
  16. Nope you can't... That's the point of the lockdown... You might be able to run around the block repeatedly.. or do intervals up and down your street
  17. There is this incredible thing called online shopping... You don't have to run around like a blue arse for to get what you need before lockdown
  18. Yup...I went out Sunday morning on my own and didn't come across another runner. In fact in my 70 minutes of running I went across...a walker... And 3 separate people cycling. Interestingly enough the cyclists were clearly people that don't ordinarily cycle. Came across about 5 or 6 cars maximum
  19. UK is not under full lockdown. People are out going about shopping at markets, going to the park like nothing's wrong.
  20. Was chatting to my colleague in Lyon yesterday... They have to get a signed permission slip from the police to walk their dog, go to the shop or exercise.... Every single time they want to do it.... So there's that. If they caught without the slip...€135 fine
  21. Business as usual for me with running. I'm pretty rural so hardly come across anyone. We run in groups of no more than 2... One running mate is forbidden to run with any of us under strict instructions from his wife
  22. How was the ride? You try some of the more rural roads?
  23. It's amazing how dated it is already... In terms of some of the conversation and the technology... But still a masterpiece
